  1. That's very nice looking Fuel Altered! Great job with this, good detailing on the engine and perfect wheel and tire choice! But only one thing: I think, that engine doesn't look very good because, it's hole chromed. I mean there is only chromed parts. That looks unreal in a drag car. I f this would be a show car, then OK. But very good job all the way!
  2. I always paint these tube frames before assembling them together. If I must warp those frame halves, I paint these places, where the paint leaves again. That's my style of building these... And I don't slow down. Thank you for that tip, I was a little suprised when those heads were a little... I must turn them in better way. I'm not great with Hemi engines, that's the problem, I have made before also... That's not a new thing and from that building speed, that head mistake, it's not because of "too fast building speed." Continues soon!
  3. THAT PAINT IS AMAZING!!! How someone can paint like that... Paint is nice, smooth and shiny too. Engine is looking very good too, great detailing on it. This is very good looking Miss Deal FC, I have built one too, but that was a bit of fail. Yours looks very good!
  4. Yes, this kit was sealed, but I got PM, where one guy said that those are not from 426 Hemi. I think, they are looking like a bit weird, but that's one of the same right now, I have changed them. So, valve covers are those, I thought put to Burnout Bird, but then I saw aftermarket resin covers to that Bird. I took those to this one and Burnout Bird has resin covers right now. Blower is also in place... That frame is painted by brush, oh painting was horrible... But now it looks ok. Those rear tires are very large, that's good. But they are bigger than those, I'm planning to '60 Impala Pro Modified... Of course those Pro Mod tires are wider than these slicks. Frame picture is taken by lightning of the camera, that's why it looks like white in some places... Of course all reference shots are very welcome...
  5. Thank you, guys! I have to look at the reference pictures. There is a part, what is removable for a better display. That's a great thing, because otherwise my details are under that part and no one can't see them. I got very important information too, valve covers are not from 426 Hemi. Must change them... Thank you for comments, I try to continue this build.
  6. The story of this build: I saw this one in google once. I watched pictures from rare model kits... I saw there this one. I thought "Wow, I must get that one some day!" It was so nice, I'm a great fan of Ramchargers- cars and Front Engine Dragsters. Now, about two weeks ago I and my dad made an order to Modelexpress. Dad bought '60 Impala and decals from Decals By Lucas. They are looking very nice both. I thought, I order Revell's Hemi Dart, but it was "Sold out again"... I saw this one, I was suprised, it was like wow. -TO ORDER- Got it today... It's very good kit from MPC. I like very much that 426 Hemi engine and those tires are looking very nice too. MH Racemaster slicks to back and to front, there are Pirelli tires... Great looking! Is this an older release from AMT's Hemi dragster...? I painted the engine with spray can, colour is the only right one for Hemi; orange! It's quite good, I must just paint some clear on it. Maybe... I didn't paint the frame by red, because my spray can paint was a littlebit bat... All pictures are here. There you can see, what's in the box.
  7. Awesome, as always John. The same story as with your all other models. It's nice to see '62 Chevy from you!
  8. This is very very great! Paintjob looks good and colour is good too! That engine detailing is perfect, and that idea for '66 Falcon to door slammer is very good too. There are lots and lots of nice details and so on. Thank you for sharing this awesome build.
  9. Your builds are always very great! This is very great too. That paintjob is perfect and it's looking so real. That's just perfect build! Thank you for sharing.
  10. W-409

    29 Ford Roadster

This is not amazing or awesome... Because it's something more than amzing or awesome! This is so nice, that shiney paintjob with those little rust holes is very good. That engine is very good looking, all those colours are in right place and it's just so good. Detailing is perfect on this and that all weathering is looking right. Great old school styled Budget Hot Rod. Great job with this. Thank you for sharing this one!!!
  11. Thank you all for the comments! I think, I leave that radiator silver... The story of the engine is that is just like that in the kit. I just made it boxstock to that point, exept those plug wires but otherwise it's box stock. Don't know, is it really right looking but with this model, I don't care. I have to continue this build soon.
  12. Ooh, that paint job looks perfect. This is very interesting project too, it's nice to see you building older stuff.
  13. Wow, your alcad work is amazing! How you make it to look like that? This is very interesting build, with your skills, this will be awesome looking when it's finished. It's nice to read and look how these are turning out.!
  14. Oh yes! I just remeber how those Jairus Watson Atwork Challenge builds were on the workbench section. So put your builds here!!! Sorry.
  15. Allright, you are on the list. I put my car too, it will be Chevy Corvette Roadsport/V8. This style. When your name is on the entry list, and you start building, put all information and pictures from your build to this topic. It's nice to see that here are a few entries right now, but it would be cool to get here more people to the build...
  16. Just a little update... I have been working with that '56 Chevy right now, this hasn't been on my workbench... Today I painted the radiator. It's painted by Revell's gloss black and radiator carton (is that correct word, my english is not so good...) is painted by Revell silver... I have to paint that top with that silver yet... Transmission is painted by Humbroll Metallic 53. That's quite good looking, that engine I mean. Sometimes these Lindberg kits are a little bit... Continues soon, hopefully... This is quite interesting to build, trucks are not that thing, I usually build. ENGINE IS JUST TEST FITTED!!! It looks like pink, but it's looking like how it looks in that previous post.
  17. Yes, I put you to entry list. But tell me the make and model and year model, I put it to there also. Like '65 Chevrolet Impala, for example. Thank you.
  18. Wohoo! That's the first entry!!! Thank you. But please, tell me what is the car you join with, it's a little easier to me to count those, if one builder builds more than one car. Thanks.
  19. Now I can't say more than This is going to be amazing!
  20. Wow, that's nice! Mustang is very good for this, is there in USA a race class called Pro Outlaw? Have never heard about that... Pro Modified is my favourite, and I would built it from this... Here in Finland has been driven PM European record 5.911, 1/4 mile. But your build looks good to me, I have On the workbench section '63 Impala Pro Street what has a brass frame also... I have to continue it someday too. Keep this going!
  21. Looking good! That is right style to build this kind of Mustang. White paint is smooth and decals are very nice. Hoosier tires, they are something, you see very rarely. Where are they from? I mean, where are those Hoosier decals from.? Engine detailing looks good, chassis is very nice... I can't find any mistakes from it. Very good job with this!
  22. Yes, '66 Fairlane is good. All cars, produced before or exactly in year 1990. Yes, it's possible to enter with '66 Fairlane. But it's NOT possible to enter with '95 Volvo 940, for example. I know, there is no kit from 940 Volvo, but it's just an example. Dirt racer is possible to build, anything what is produced before or exactly in 1990 and car is for dirt race, LeMans type cars, Nascars and so on... And you can build replicas OR just looking like could be raced back in the day. BUT you can build also drifting cars, for example... That's quite new style, but it's possible to build drifter IF you build it from a car, built before or exactly in 1990. EXAMPLE: it's possible to build drifting- car from '75 Buick Skyhawk, if you want. It doesn't matter what is the style of your build, the main thing is that the car is built in a factory before or exactly in year 1990. Clear enough?
  23. Today I have done lots of bodywork. I'll post pictures when I got something to show you. But right now. Air cleaner is from Cadillac, it's resin part, can't remeber the manufactuer... I drilled holes, to there, like in real one. Firts I used 1mm drill bit, then 1,5mm and then 2mm drill bit... Then I just made one turn with 3,5mm drill bit, wich made it looking better. Then those 1mm, 1,5mm and 2mm drill bits again and right now it looks pretty good. I've been thinking of using Alcad to that air cleaner, but don't know is it so good either, maybe just paint it black. Feel free for comments.
  24. Ok, this should work, if there is any interest. Community build for race cars, track racing, like 1965 LeMans 24 hour race winner, for example. This is for Historic cars. You can build somekind of drifting machine if you want, but the car must be produced BEFORE or exactly year 1990. So you can build quite new cars, if you want... Drag Race- cars are of course allowed! You can build American Cars, European, Japanese cars... There are no limits, but it must be historic. It can be imaginary car or real but main thing is that it's produced before or exactly in 1990. There is NO deadline! Build as long as it takes, and it's still possible to join in! Any questions or if you would like to enter, reply to this topic and tell it. Thank you -Niko Here is the official entry list! Highway -?? 25. I've been following this one, now I have to say, it looks very good! I can't wait to see it finished. This is just good looking hot rod, you got some great talents also... That tie rod looks awesome, great scratchbuilding there! I like that rust on it. Great job all the way with this.
