I use this one with DeWalt 1/4 drive bits. https://www.harborfreight.com/4v-cordless-14-in-screwdriver-with-integrated-flashlight-kit-with-4-insert-bits-and-wall-charger-64313.html -

Yes sir they are decals.

I saw this along with a few of the new releases earlier this afternoon at HL but just couldn’t bring myself to pay that much for a reissue of a kit that’s been out for years.
-
I’d go with Centerlines. I love this kit even with the flaws of the previous one(orange car on box) this is my favorite year of Camaro from 70-73. Heres one I built recently.

And your honor, that’s how the fight started ??

WOW! …. just…. WOW! Is all I can say. It’s absolutely beautiful!

I had an 85 Olds Cutlass in that color that had T-tops and bucket seats/console shifted. Was a rolling shell when I bought it, dropped a nice 350 Chevrolet in it and had a blast for awhile. What color did you use on this one?

Current building techniques
Keef replied to Bobjernigan3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I used to see those highly detailed builds and think to myself “I’m going to do that on my next project “ I have never been to an NNL or any other kind of show, but living vicariously through the pictures that others post have kept me “in the loop” so to speak. I have tried new thing and some have been a success while some have not. I used to build OOB but now I try to do something different with each build, whether it’s wheels, wiring, or paint. While I was/am still amazed by the quality and level of detail, I have also accepted the limitations of my skills. I’m sure while there are several builders, both young and older, who can build an Uber detailed kit, there are just as many who stay within their “comfort zone “ -
Your biggest blunder
Keef replied to LL3 Model Worx's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My biggest blunder was in my teenage years I was building a Morgan Sheppard nascar Monte Carlo. I painted it in our pole barn garage that used a wood heater. I sat it on a bench about 6 feet away from the heater, came back an hour later to a melted blob. Live and learn ?♂️ -

Yep!! Been there, done that, numerous times!! Sold my entire collection a few years back(close to 400 unbuilt kits and probably 50-75 built ups) all of my resin parts, paints , etc. because I was trying to finish my 1:1 Firebird project. Then I went to a car show and bought some Mopar kits at the swap meet because they were cheap. Now here I am 5 years later, Firebird is long gone and I have about 100 unbuilt kits and 25 built ones. Lesson learned, kits are way cheaper and easier to build than a 1:1 ? -
Hi neighbor! ?

Dumb question but, is that the kit carb or a Fireball carb? Amazing detail so far, can’t wait to see it come together!!

After spending about 4 hours yesterday perusing the “Tips & Tricks” section I stopped by Harbor Freight today during work and picked up these 2 items.

Built the Chevy Bison in 5th grade for a 4-H contest and won 1st place(by default, I was the only one who entered). The Monogram Malibu was my first glue kit at age 12 and I’d love to have another to build but everytime I find one the bidding goes WAY out of my comfort zone. Maybe someday I’ll get one.
