  1. Just a basic question, but have you been washing your parts before painting ?
  2. What is the price you paid for the book ? What I'm finding online is ridiculous
  3. Love has no limits on what a person will do to benefit the other.
  4. Reminds me of when I was a kid. I used to go hang out at the junk yards most every Saturday.
  5. I've got to be honest, when I read the title of the thread I thought to myself now that is stupid. But seeing it, is changing my mind. I think it looks pretty cool
  6. Here's the one that got away from me , It's a Gibson ES Artist. I installed a set of SD alnico pro II's in it. The three toggles next to the volume and tone knobs could split the coils, reverse the polarity or any combination between the two pickups. The tones that guitar could get were incredible. Notice there are no F holes, which I think helped contribute to the sound immensely. Very similar to Brian May's Red Special. I will have another someday
  7. That engine is incredible
  8. Very nice details all done right.
  9. Great job painting that hood.
  10. That truck is in great shape Nick. I'm guessing they don't use salt on the roads up there ?
  11. I love seeing this classic built and it looks like a fine job so far.
  12. Can you use a thick super glue and then hit it with an accelerator ? Not sure if it would work, but that's what I would try.
  13. Born in 57, so the late sixties and early seventies is what I remember. By the time I hit the road muscle cars from the 60's were everywhere. The cool kids with money from mom and dad always drove the camaros or mustangs. 3 speed shifters on the column was a pretty normal thing. Lots of street racing and FM radio for those late nights smoking and discussing how we'd change the world
  14. If you aren't in a hurry, and you want to plan ahead, precut all your "board" sizes and set them out in the sun. They will weather naturally on their own very quickly.
  15. Looks like you did a nice job on it.
  16. I'm 54 years old so I've seen what I consider the downward spiral of creativity in automotive designs. Although I was a young boy at the time I came to love the designs of people like Harley Earl and Virgil Exner. Nobody takes chance anymore. I used to look forward to new model years coming out, but now it's mediocre at best. I know fuel ratings and safety mandates play into today's designs but to me creativity is not even in the equation any more. The new Camaro, Mustang, and Challenger are popular for a reason. Are they anything special, not really, but compared to everything else people love them.
  17. I'm good at grabbing the wrong color spray can when I need to re coat something.
