Hand signals were used to indicate direction or lane changes. Sticking your left arm straight out would indicate a left turn and bending the arm at the elbow straight up would indicate a right turn. When they became mandatory, I have no idea.

Awesome, I can't wait to see more. I grew up in New England and used to tour the battleship Massachusetts many times. I know it's a different class of ship than the Missouri but still just as impressive. I'd love to see these ships still part of our battle groups. Nothing impresses me more than a full broadside salvo from those 16" guns

I've still got the original shoes on the rear of my 96 suburban. I'm the original owner so I know for sure. More amazing to me is I just recently had the original OEM plugs replaced with 208,000 miles on them Not in bad shape considering the mileage.

I'm not into trucks, but this is impressive.

No pictures, but just sand them off. Use a small 1" x 1" of 400 grit, follow with same size 800 and finish with 1200. Each successive grit will remove the fine scratches from the previous grit. If you use a big piece of sandpaper you risk damaging surrounding areas of the body. They sand off easily, just use short strokes on the emblem or handle area only.

I would avoid major body modifications like that if this is your first model. Follow the workbench section and you'll learn a lot.

I use a molded silicone half mask. I take my glasses off put on the mask them put my glasses back on. No air leaks, and no problems at all.

Looks very nice so far. The vacuum advance on the distributor is a great detail. Each of your sub assemblies look like models on their own. Which is how it should be.
