  2. Gregg, thanks for caring enough about this forum and the members to do this. I have just changed my email address because i barely use the other one i had registered with. Now i would like to change my user name , is that possible? I really don't use this user name anywhere other than here and i dont like it much anymore.
  3. i agree with both the swearing and the real names in signatures. i think i might have said a soft word a time or two on here, but it was soft.....kind of stuff i was allowed to say when i was 10 years old.....but yet if a touchy enough person read it, might be offended. i have pretty thick skin, but not thick skull so i will follow the rules.

  14. I have been struggling with this news since i got a message from Darryl this morning. First of all, i didn't know Karen. Darryl talked about her many times and i could tell her truely loved her. They were married 39 years. She died of a massive heart attack this AM. I didn't want to be the bearer of bad news, but i know so many of you have known Darryl for years and thought it was only respectful to let you know of his loss. I can't imagine how hard it must be to have this happen. When i read his message to me, i burst into tears and i am having a hard time typing this. I am very hurt for him and am praying that he stays strong and knows how many friends he has. Darryl has helped so many , including me and has been my close friend of almost 4 years. Please keep him in your prayers and allow him some time to be alone, but keep him close. With all the bad news lately, each person i knew and this put me over the edge so i apologize. Be strong Darryl, the good Lord has her now.
  15. I have all the names now, so i will put up the complete one soon.
  16. It happens... In the last few months i have become more interested in show rods than ever before. I will still always be into my signature, but show rods...SOME not all are on my list of wants to build.

  18. First I want to say it was great seeing everyone again! Second, I am sorry but I cannot remember some "full names" or "real" names. I hope you will speak up and state your real name by the numbers. thanks! Gregg, here is all I know.... NEW PHOTO COMING SOON Here is a link to the original full size photo for you http://images41.fotki.com/v1347/file7tmJ/3...08/100_9329.jpg
  19. It says right on there "Due to the amount of requests that we have, we are not able to provide free sample copies of Model Cars Magazine. You can call the office at 303.296.1600, to order a single issue. If you would like to see an example of an article in Model Cars, click here to download a PDF file. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the file. Mahalo" Not sure if you have a shop around that sells them, but if you do check one out. they are worth it!
  20. First of all, sorry that happened. To put a price on something that is sentimental is hard. For insurance purposes, you should first take into consideration how much the kit and if any aftermarket parts cost you. Then take into account the cost of paints, primer and clear to buy whole new cans. When you do this you need to do the highest prices. Example if a kit sells for $10-$20, then you need to value the kit at $20. As for putting value on the "build" or the time it took or the love you have into it. I am afraid that is the most difficult part and insurance doesn't cover heartache. Again, sorry this happened and i hope you get as much as possible.
  21. ya did awesome! i love the roof and color on the body, nice work!
  22. uncle Bob? if he is your uncle, then we are related somehow cuz he is my brother in law.
  23. At a loss for words here. I have only known Bob for about 4-5 months. We met in Kansas at the Heartland Nationals model contest. Bob reacted to me as if we were best friends and i introduced some people to him, who had no idea who he was. He treated everyone the same and he literally made you feel special because his spirit was just that good. God rest his soul.
  24. it was real. back in them days, the companies would go on tour and show off how durable and exciting their cars were by doing stunts. check these videos http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abHI3FkOrE8
