  1. next i cobbled up this liberty 5 speed trans. the project will have my own custom front and rear wheels and hubs. the front. the rear. the rear hubs.
  2. no, i haven't abandoned the mike hill '69 camaro. hopefully i'll be able to get back to it soon. in the mean time i started this roadster. it will be a salt flat car. it may not be 100% correct. it's mostly a fun kinda build. i already started the motor. it's an ardun headed v-12 w/ a 16-71 roots blower.
  3. here's a 1/8 scale. less body hope this helps.
  4. i started this a while back, maybe it will help. it is 1/12 scale.
  5. thanks henry. you are certainly welcome, scott.
  6. scott, i can't access the site from home. i can only get on at work. you may just want to email me.
  7. sorry to hear about your hand, joe. i going to echo anne's advice. take care buddy!!!!
  8. always love looking at your work, tyrone! super impressive!!!!!!!
  9. these are all really quite good fellas!!! i think some of you are a little hard on yourselves. really nice stuff guys!!!!! keep showing them off.
  10. sorry for the delay in responding. i cannot sign in here (or photobucket) from my home computer for some reason. so, all responses have to wait until i can get to them from work. first thanks guys i appreciate the repsonses. scott, absolutely not out of line to ask. on this particular piece, i made it on the first shot BUT, getting it on the first shot comes with a price tag. i probably spent more time doing the dimensioned drawings than actually making the trans. doing drawings does 2 things: first, you have a set of dimesnions to follow. like instuctions in a kit model. second, while you are doing the drawings it gives you the chance to go through, in your head, the process you want to follow for machining and assembling. kind of, the measure twice, cut once phylosophy. does making a drawing guarentee success the first time out?......no, but, i can assure you it will cut down on the number of times you will make a mistake and have to trash your work piece. here are a couple more.
  11. tyrone, as always, i'm just blown away by your craftsmanship.
  12. dragfreak, looks great! very clean and neat. well done. it's all about the inspiration ian.
  13. thanks! it's getting hooked to the blown, ardun headed, v-12. should make an interesting salt flat package.
  14. gettin' closer all the time, chris. fantastic stuff!
  15. incredible work joe. have you given any thought to paint yet?
  16. i spent some time building this liberty 5 speed for a salt flat project i started.
  17. great work brett. engines happen to be my favorite part of any car.
  18. wow! nice builds guys. very clean and very nicely detailed. excellent work.
  19. gotta agree with ken. scratch building skills are a must IF you want to do anything out of the realm of normal. 3-d printing is an option but be preparred for the costs. i do know of a guy who makes an ardum conversion. i'llcheck, maybe he's got some regular flattie stuff.
  20. LOL!! that was good.
  21. kinda hard to follow.......yeah,right. awesome builds tyrone!!!!!! man, i love your work!!!!! how 'bout some more guys?
  22. simply over the top bill! incredible skills! i just don't have time to go through all 46 pages so, can you tell me what front suspension you're planning on building? again, simply over the top!
  23. many thanks guys. certainly appreciate it. you know you guys are supposed to be posting some of your engines. i know i've seen quite a few killer units built here......so let's see 'em. jeremy's not the only guy who wants to see them.
