1-8 scale 69 camaro pro mod (mike hill's car)comp1839 replied to comp1839's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models don, you bet it will. it'll probably see the track a few times before it makes it to the street. dave, i guess it all depends on the guy who owns the car. some guys use chute launchers and might feel they don't need the net. also might depend on the style of wheelie bar, where the chutes are mounted, etc.. personally i'd use the net. on some of the tracks with shorter shut down areas, i've seen chutes get tangled in the bars and become ugly fast. the net is not a mandatory item.

1-8 scale 69 camaro pro mod (mike hill's car)comp1839 replied to comp1839's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models thanks guy! ted, as far as the interior goes it was originally built to be a pro street car. so, it already has provisions built in for twin recaro seats. as much of the c/f and race stuff as can, will remain. it will need a speedo oil pressure and a fuel gauge. very sparce on the interior.this car was originally built by vanishing point. some of you may have the build pics stored away. there have been a ton of upgrades done to it since it's original build. as far as rear tires go, hoosier makes a set of 33 x 22.5 x 15 quick time pro (DOT tires) that will end up on the rear. they are a little smaller than the 34.5 x 17 16 on it now but, they will have to do.

1-8 scale 69 camaro pro mod (mike hill's car)comp1839 replied to comp1839's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models bart, here's the deal. rich shainline put his '37 chevy pro mod up for sale. the guys at precision worked their butts off to come up with a win - win deal for rich and myself. i can't begin to thank rich, jim and doug for the effort they went through to make this deal happen. anyway, i'm going to be purchasing the car. i'm just finishing up all the loose ends on my deal to get the money together to buy it. the bank now officially is in the soul acquisition business. as far as the 903 pat musi motor. i only wish i could afford it! hehe. the thing makes incredible power. the car is going to be transformed into a (excuse me as i clear my throat, ahem) street car. it will live out the rest of it's life without the brutality of 3000h.p. spanking it. here are some shots of the car: i will be removing the aero nose and replacing it with a more stock looking unit.
