  4. that looks fantastic joe! sorry i haven't responded earlier but, i couldn't log on to this site or my photobucket account for the past month. all of sudden it started working today........go figure. any way, super job.

  7. i recently purchased one of these from john. they are very nicely done. they are ficticous but, very cool. both of the intake systems you mentioned are available. i have his email if you want it.
  8. i got a few moments over the weekend to do a little more to the engine. fabbed a manifold and c/f'd it. finished up the belt drive. put some dominators on it for "lookin' at". here it is ext the to the 5.3 bore space motor.
  9. so, rodger, what's your definition of streetable. and while you're at it, is your blower carbed or fuel injected. after all it is your question.
  10. lenco was founded in 1970. the later into the 70's you go the more cars were equipped with them. they had clutch pedals, no levers
  11. good golly, chromoly!!!!! some one stop him before he explodes!! i'll have to agree with tyrone.......just plain awesome bill......really
  12. perhaps you are mixing the term "drivable" with "streetable". my '37 will be streetable but, you all my not consider it driveable.
  13. thanks a bunch guys. building the engines for these cars really kinda floats my boat. for me the car is just the display case for the engine.......hehe.
  14. i kinda gotta agree with brett on this scott. concentrate on one thing and get it done. you are doing an absolutely stellar job on this futura. i'm blown away everytime i look at this thing!!!!!!!!!! i kinda gotta agree with brett on this scott. concentrate on one thing and get it done. you are doing an absolutely stellar job on this futura. i'm blown away everytime i look at this thing!!!!!!!!!!
  15. the details are looking great, chris! don't feel bad about not casting stuff chris. i don't either. for me, it would be one more area i'd have to create to work in and deal with getting materials and the mess it makes.........and do you really plan to build another one of these? plug boots on a hemi are definately a peroid correct thing. if you build a newer car those are no good. keep up the fantastic job you are doing!!!!!!
  16. builds like this can really take it out of you, joe. all of my builds are long term and i've learned to work on other things to keep the motivation high. fantastic job!
  17. that's awesome , jeff. great thinking outside the box on those tires. the body and suspension look incredible.
  18. now that is "the sweetness" right there! leonard, just keep doing what your doing, man. 'cuz you are doing it right!!!!!!!!! wow! this is gonna rock some worlds!
  19. those spark plugs boots look dead on chris. those are the details that really make this a standout! great work.
  20. chris, this is simply OUTSTANDING workmanship. i admire your creativity and drive when it comes to getting the job done. super job!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. thanks guys. that's right, David. no C.N.C. but, i do have x, y and z digital readouts. i don't believe i would ever attempt machining anything without DRO. it would take way to long without it and i'm just not that patient. it also makes my old beat up bridgeport look like it's in pretty good shape. hehe. thanks for the compliment. you know,....... some people get it........some don't. it's really nice when someone else gets it. thanks.
  22. i had some fre time this weekend and i need a break from the '37 so i started a new motor project. it will be a sonny leonard semi hemi headed, new century aluminum block, big block chevy. ilove the valve covers on these motors so that's where i started. for the block i used a standard bbc resin casting that was cast off my master and modified the heck out of it. here's the finished unit. next i made a jesel style cam belt drive. also a dist. belt drive. finally a balancer. test fit of the drives turned out pretty good. hopefully i'll get some more time soon to do a little more.
  23. that's pretty cool! is that a kit or did you scratch build it? if it's a kit, what scale is it? again, VERY nice work.
  24. wow! that is some extremely nice detail in there, scott. the front suspension, the four link, and those calipers are amazing! just super attention to the details.
