  2. good to see this car back, mike. can you refresh us on the build sheet? keep up the great work.
  3. i might be able to help you out a little. what kind of drag car are you trying to duplicate?
  4. thanks for posting this, leonard. i've had the privilege of seeing this car in person. i think i fall in love each and every time i see it. just an awesome piece of 1/16 scale modelling. by the way, how's the camaro coming???
  5. glad to see you back at it derrick! lookin' incredible.
  6. jeez greg......the only thing you forgot was to put oil in that thing! amazing workmanship!!!! i gotta tell you,...... the reverse handle is spot on.
  7. i can appreciate where you are coming from but, i have to agree with harry. it's a fantastic looking build. if it distresses you that much, build a new one. in the mean time i'd enjoy this one for all it's worth.
  8. looks great mike! what will be your first build with this body?
  9. this is absolutely (in my opinion) your best work ever tyrone! you've got all of "IT" coming together in one car. great subject matter, great detailing, super paint,......just the whole ball of wax rolled into on superb model. i can't wait to see what you top it with next. stunning job!
  10. i'm just curious. can some one explain how modern technology is killing drag racing?
  11. chris, i can't say what this particular car was built too, as i'm not a don prudhomme chassis expert but, 60" is a pretty typical number for that distance. is that the dimension you already have (3.75")? or is that the dimension you are now working to?
  12. yes chris. that would be, what i call, the mid plate. and that would be dimension i was interested in. thanks.
  13. i have a quick question for you chris. what will be the 1:1 distance from the center of the rear axle to the mid plate when you are done? thanks.
  14. joe, absolutely incredible workmanship! excellent planning and execution!
  15. here is the plate in the background. i took this while measuring the fuel pump. the idler/ tensioner mount usually bolts directly on top of this. it is only exposed because this car is under construction. don't know if this will help or not. here is the front bolt pattern on a Keith Black block. if there is anything else you need .....just ask.
  16. i'm not sure about the original car you are trying to copy. most funny cars utilizing a hemi today use 2 simple mounts (one per side) that go from the frame to where the water pump mounting bolts are on the block. i believe this is what you have already made. i'm sure i have a pic if you need it. they use very "flimsy front mounts to allow the chassis to work. if a funny car frame didn't flex and move around it wouldn't work.
  17. karsten, seriously.........these are just way over the top! the detailing is phenomenal!
  18. lookin' fantastic greg. love all the details. this is shaping up to be a really nice ride!
  19. can't wait to see this completed. just another incredible build , tyrone!!!!
  20. looks great, charlie! your stuff is always smokin' cool.
  21. karsten, is this the "fastback" version of the first car? LOL.
  22. looks incredible karsten! i was just debating how this would look with a blown hemi and some huge rear tires....LOL! just kidding. some under the hood shots and some chassis shots are definately called for.
  23. looking really nice ken! will you be doing any detailing as far as ign., fuel and brakes go?
  24. karsten, not only are these 2 great examples of your modelling skills. they are 2 great examples of your photography skills. incredible work!!
