  1. seriously cool karsten! how about some more shots of that vette?
  2. greg, the starter dog is just killer man. you nailed 100%. as with the belt guard and the starter mount. awesomely cool!!!!!!!!! trust me, i'm working (as is everyone else involved) feverishly to get this camaro body nailed down. i do not want it to be a disappointment to anyone!!!!! paul, you are a 100% correct. the transmission is modeled after a cs-3. i only have a cs-3 5 spd. in my possession to model from. i will humbly disagree with you on the cs-1 being more correct for the application though. actually a cs-2 is the lenco of choice right now in pro mod. at least from what i have seen and heard. the cs-1 is heavier and takes more h.p. to drive. at the last ADRL race i took photos at. i couldn't even find a cs-1 in any car. be it blown , nitrous or a 10.5 car. since the cs-3 looks closer to a cs-2 than a cs-1. i believe gregs choice to move to this trans, is actually more viable. of course if anyone/ someone were to supply me detailed drawings of a cs-1 and a cs-2. i would be happy to see if we couldn't make copies of those happen for the absolute die hard who needs to be on the money for any particular build. LOL!! here is a shot of J.R Todd's blown '57 PX car. here is Ted Smith's PN car. again, i am not saying no one runs a cs-1 in pro mod. what i am saying is, if you look at the top 16 qualifiers at any adrl or even an nhra event today. i believe you'd be hard pressed to find a cs-1 amongst those cars. for giggles. here's the trans in the camaro i'm going to duplicate. it's a bruno torque converter drive and a 2 spd. lenco. pleasel, do not take this the wrong way!
  3. another very cool subject. where you come up with the ideas?.........totally cool.
  4. tyrone, you always seem to get the details just right. awesome build!
  5. looks great ken. and your right......it's the fun that counts!
  6. glad to see you darryl. excellent work on the pro mods. hope to see more soon.
  7. beautiful job karsten!
  8. looks good derrick. keep after it.
  9. looks great greg!!! i do realize the considerable effort to get this far. scratch building at these levels is painstakingly slow. the fuel pump, barrel valve and the associated fuel line accessories look phenomenal. the effort you are putting forth to make it right / correct will pay off in the end. keep it up.
  10. outstanding work mike. that is an incredible job. from the conversion to the paint work. just super.
  11. always impressive work, al!!!! very cool.
  12. guess you're not gonna do that in 1:8 scale ........are ya? hehe. just kiddin'! looks great mike.
  13. looks like you did a great job dave. drag cars are my big interest. can't wait to see what you have in store for the 'vette.
  14. looks like the start to another incredibly cool car! just love your work.
  15. doc, you sure know what button to push. building engines is my favorite past time. here's an all aluminum (except for the blower) hemi i did. here's an old school blown donovan. an old donovan with new school goodies. and a brad anderson hemi w/ psi screwblower. in my book, the engine is the heart and soul of a car.
  16. derrick, lookin' sweet! the chassis is awesome.
  17. paul, here's a shot of the M/W 11" in the camaro. i figure one more can't hurt.
  18. yes, welcome. always appreciate new talent. great place. lot's of talent.
  19. camaro's are available on ebay if you hunt around. check the model shows and such. you can get a new one for $150 on up. if you get one cheaper ya done good. here is a place you can go for 1/8 parts: http://www.tdrcatalog.com/servlet/StoreFront or http://www.shapeways.com/shops/tdrcatalog there are other places. you just have to hunt around. what kind of drag car is it you're interested in building? be preparred for ALOT of scratch building depending on what your goals are.
  20. looks awesome greg. really nice details. it pays to go the extra mile.
  21. bill, every time i look at this, i have to marvel at the detail and exactness you have achieved. simply incredible!!!!!!
  22. why don't you try saying something to the " lazy person" instead of being an enabler? seems counter productive to find the answer for them and then complain later on that you had to find the answer for them. how will they know they're being "lazy" if YOU don't teach them?........just thought i'd ask.
  23. looks great derrick! can't wait to see it all wired and plumbed.
  24. joe, minimum of 2 inches of the ground behind the front tire. 3 inches in front of the front tire..
