  1. Ray - what a privilege to get to see that truck in person. With the photo help from everyone I fabricated up the dual hoses off the air filter. Thank you for all the help and sharing your pictures.
  2. Very cool , a genuine custom sleeper in the works. My I offer a suggestion - make some inside angle braces with styrene to keep it from bowing or add a second layer. I think those signs are about .020" in thickness and pretty flexible. Keep up the good work !
  3. I am very Impressed with all three. I am curious on how you made the Ford emblem . The dash leaves me speechless .
  4. Boy oh boy - I bet that would of been something to watch !
  5. I really like the fleet pic with all the white five holers. Thank you for sharing them
  6. It is a pleasure to see a tortion bar suspension . I bet your work area looked like a "snowstorm" after thinning out that cab. Very nice work !
  7. You are welcome. I have been using them since 2008 with no issues whatsoever unless they are down for maintenance.
  8. I will second that, I am also Very Impressed with the quality of them .
  9. Brian thank you for the information and pictures. That hood open pic is worth its weight in gold ! Dave - thank you for the offer. Rich - Thank you, I value your opinion and I have decided to leave the tanks as they are. Too much of the Domino effect. Besides my Wife says Black is a "slimming color"
  10. That is one of my demons on this truck - but it starts with the battery boxes and air tanks not being of the right size either. This is my biggest obstacle to try and tame with nothing to work with - it is about to make me nuts.
  11. Dave - Your truck looks like the Duck ! Thank you for posting it - It has been a good reference. Jacobus - Thank you for the tip on the double intake hoses , and your picture helps a lot. I would not change the fuel tanks on yours as it looks great as it is. Mine had several big air pockets in the filler neck which I did not feel like messing with anymore. Thank you everyone else for looking in and commenting. I found a gluebomb R cab to where I was able to rob the cab air intake vents. Thanks for looking in
  12. I like it Jacobus - looks like the easy part is done. Now for the hard part - finding a paint scheme !
  13. Ben, mock ups can really consume the time and test the patience level. Your frame is nice - nothing to have to file off or fill in. I really like those fuel tanks
  14. I found this brand affordable and the color is "old Cat yellow" I did tone it down with a dull coat as I feel the engine should not outshine the paint of the truck. It was very glossy when dry. Not much shine on the real thing
  15. Very nice Sam, that plane looks like a lot of fun. You may have seen these before - when I lived in Southern Nevada several of us built these and would "dogfight" with them. http://www.spadtothebone.net/freeplans.htm Building these was the only time I looked forward to seeing election posters
  16. I have found those copy cat "Cat" colors to spray rater heavily. Be sure to prime your engine first and spray from a distance to just mist it on - that is how I have gotten my best results. I will also finish off with a dull coat spray as the glossy shine from the spray paint on a small surface does not look right to my eye.
  17. I have two questions and neither is related to your Mack. (1) where do you get cases big enough to cover a semi (2) does that rotary phone actually work ?
  18. Russell - That blue looks really good, but I think just about any color looks good on these trucks . Nice work on the ghost tire and fender lip.
  19. Very nice, this one is cruising right along. Did you have any problems mounting the cab ? The color of the dash looks like the color of the only real one I have seen. I dont know what color you would of called it "butterscotch" maybe ?
  20. Very cool Terry, I use to live in that town (Silverton CO) . Love the truck rumbling up Red Mtn Pass.. The turn wig-wag is awesome. I showed the part to my Wife of it leaving town and it made her cry seeing the town
  21. Lay out a piece of masking tape on glass or clean workmat and cut small square grids (for example 4mm x4mm) Patchwork your area starting along the frames and overlap each piece of tape. Smooth all edges with a blunt round toothpick. Same method for masking aircraft canopies.
  22. Is this the one ? I got that cool looking resin head with the purchase of a Jimmy Flinstone resin cab
  23. Brian - I knew I was missing something . I think I have the parts you need - I will post a picture after my morning cup of coffee...
