  1. Sheesch - I hate progress.. No tube rolls now ? Now the kiddos will really have to have imaginary binoculars... An old Rancher in his 80's told me this about 40 years ago - "Progress , Years ago people use to have outside bathrooms and cook inside the house. Now people are cooking outside and using the bathroom inside the house."
  2. Something is not right, that must be for the filter . That one is just like mine and there would be more then $20.00 in sheet metal. The Exhaust Fan is mounted on the back . I could not find where this one says no fan or motor. Typo or mistake maybe ?
  3. Superb detailing and the paint scheme is one of the best I have seen on a model. Looking really Classy !
  4. Some reference pics for those wanting to detail AMT truck kits. Engine is a Big Cam 400 Cummins
  5. That looks mighty fine Tom, great color combination. Will there be a logo on the doors or sleeper ?
  6. Sheesch, that's a long frame. How many mm's would that be ? My rough calculations was 380mm. This is going to be a nice one to see transpire. Everybody will want one when your finished. Everything is looking great - keep up the inspirational work.
  7. Wow that is nice. I have to agree with the others for that looking real ! The Steel wheel Five holes really make this one stand out. I wish kit manufactures would get on the ball and offer those in kits.
  8. Yikes, that is a fine looking truck going into the rebuild shop. Looking forward to seeing this one progress, I have a box of parts to build a similar (I think) Have you found all the parts you need ?
  9. Wow, this truck hands down is a favorite from all the comments. You have done very well Alan to rekindle the memories.
  10. Getting some color - The light in the spray booth makes it look way lighter then actual.
  11. I would have to hand deliver them, as I dont trust the Postal System for that many
  12. The frame is waiting for the wheels and tires. I need to put this build in High Gear as my wife has decided it is time to move from Washington to Montana. Thanks for looking in.
  13. First I thought this was a "bar joke" Then I googled it - what a mess.
  14. Way back in 1991 my Wife and I was living in Battle Mtn. Nevada. The "Big Boy" was going to come through on its way to California. We both took the day off from work drove out to a secluded spot in the high dessert along the tracks and waited. Let me tell you - you could see the smoke for miles and hear it coming. When it rumbled by it was one of the most exciting things we have witnessed. It was pulling a huge freight train, shot up several rolls of film. Edit - my mistake it was not a Big Boy my wife and I saw. I dug out the photos and it was UP Locomotive 844 , a 4-8-4 locomotive pulling passenger cars. Regardless it was a sight to witness traveling the rails.
  15. That is Super super Nice combo. Thumbs up all the way. How was that trailer decal to work with ? Is it one piece or sections ? This has always been one of my favorite trucks.
  16. Wow I have to keep reminding myself this is 1/25 scale. Are the door hinges functional ? - Those are really top notch ! Very Impressive work.
  17. That bumper would be a "jackrabbit plow" for I-80 through Nevada. Looking real good there, nice work on the fenders also. I really like the turnout stacks.
  18. Very nice looking truck. As I said earlier in your build - that color combo is awesome. You have me so wanting to start on a Titan or Astro but I already have two kits in progress.
  19. That is way cool, what a Great idea. I have seen "Pup trailers" that size.
  20. I think this is pretty cool, great to see some creativity out there still. What were those old kits that use to do crazy things - Whacko's maybe ? Seems like there was a P-51 that flapped its wings. Very impressive front axle that you scratch built.
  21. I like the price of $38.95 Great news on the return of the lowboy also !
  22. Very nice, really like the "Action" pics. Weathering gives it that work look but not abused. (I cant get over how green it is there already - we still have leftover snow)
  23. The "A" 's came with round headlights and spoked wheels (Red & White scheme Box art) , The "B" version has square headlight trim and Alloy wheels (Brown & White Scheme Box art) .
  24. That is some mighty fine work ! Nice to see this rig getting a second chance. I was never aware there was both the "A" & "B" model. I had a "B" kit and always thought the only difference was the boxart like so many of the other kits. I always liked the IH coe's show palaces I thought with all that shiny stuff.
