  1. This one really jumps out with class and detail. Love the oldies, cab and engine detail is spectacular. Very Nice work
  2. Bill that chassis looks great ! Is that flocking I see going on in the cab floor ? May I offer a suggestion ? Relocate your shifters towards the driver seat. None of the Brownie's I ever drove or worked on was like this. The shifters are normally in alignment with the transmission in a regular cab. I would keep the location of the shifter on the left side of passenger seat and put the other to the right of the driver seat. I dont know why AMT has them there.
  3. Wow, that looks like a pretty nice setup for the price. I am impressed that the compressor comes with the moisture trap and regulator. Airbrushes can be dodgy - most likely these are china spinoffs of a name brand. But what does not come form china anymore ? If I was starting over and saw a deal like this , I would not be afraid to buy it. Painting with a airbrush is difficult for some and others it is like a natural reaction. But you wont learn or get better without using one. As time goes by you may decide these A/B's are not up to your performance and upgrade. This seller has over 34,000 positive feedback and only 11 unhappy customers in the past 12 months. That is amazing.
  4. How cool, and the old pics are pretty awesome also. Both models look pretty nice to me.
  5. Nice 379 - Real nice Thanks for the color !
  6. Alright I am curious - What color of green did you use on the cab and what is your real truck ?
  7. Wow, you have been busy, The boxart is a great scheme for the Rio, Looks like the Freightliner didn't give you any trouble, Where did you get the Pepsi machine - that is way cool. I like them all !
  8. Yes, that is the one. Thank you for the help guys.
  9. Your winter confinement was spent well. This looks really well built, great attention to in-cab detail. I am also a fan of the paint scheme.
  10. I haven't been able to find a copy of the instructions. So is the frame suitable to cut down and install a slider with 5th wheel plate ?
  11. Does anyone remember the Magazine article many years ago on building a simulated air ride seat base ? The "Tire balancer " pedestal in the kit just does not work for me.
  12. That looks like a dern good way of doing it . I am sure many others will follow and use this idea. What two sizes of tube did you use ?
  13. This post should stay at the top all day.
  14. Amazing, I am so enjoying your updates and craftsmanship.
  15. Sadly today's news will be focused on celebrates or sports. Thank you for taking the time to Point out What is more Important. I remember when my Uncle got to come home - he spent a week with us. I was 7 and he gave me his cover and a bunch of C-rat packets. (the brown accessory) I still have a handful of "John Wayne's"
  16. That is a Great looking combo. You really did a fine job on them (the other trucks displayed are fantastic also) Very Impressive display. Now you need Old Blue, Boss Truck, Mama Truck ..... ....... ... I got pretty good at saving old decals building aircraft models. Nothing as large scale as yours though , but a clear coat can save the day.
  17. That is a nice '55. You sure your not violating something in your contract by posting pics of customers cars ? I would at least black out the license plate.
  18. Your going to get me hooked on this era of cars. Oh and I was really Impressed with your Stagecoach that I followed a link too. That is my idea of transportation !
  19. Not only is the paint spectacular I like the fact that "rivets died" in this episode. Rivets are so overrated anyhow.
  20. I looked at the pics before I read what you wrote. My impression was wow, look at that. I can just see the enthusiasm on a kids face many years ago making this model and how proud he had to of been once it was completed. Most likely displayed right on the bedside table next to the lamp. Then when I read your writings, I was even more amazed you were thinking along the same lines. I think this model is spectacular and would leave it as is. As jb said a "time capsule". I wish I had just one model from my youth as it was built then to display with my adult life built ones. Even though you did not build this one I would have great satisfaction seeing it displayed in the collection knowing that it was someones pride and joy at one time.
  21. I read somewhere that the sleeper was available separate as the kit did not include it.. Something you sent in with a price for the time and you would get it . I thought I had that bookmarked but can not find it. Awesome pic Casey - takes me way back seeing that Apollo add. Does that kit have the green tint windows ?
  22. I really like it ! Something about that paint scheme and the double bunk really catches my attention. This is definitely a truck that deserves some TLC and not to be stuffed back in the depths of storage. Now I want to build one just like it.
  23. Well I think I will get a minimum of 6 of these kits when they come out
  24. I really like these old kits you have been assembling and following the progress. And I have always had a soft spot for anything made by Aurora. You also inspired me to cut up the front axle on the Pete I am working on for poseable wheels !
  25. That really bites, I have dealt with outfits like that before also - "once". I still cant believe Slixx discontinued them.
