  1. That Chassis is just awesome!!! Yeah what color you thinking for chassis and body?
  2. Chuck that looks awesome!!! Gorgeous paint and decal work. Looking good man!! What rims are those on the kit?? Aftermarket turned aluminum by chance??
  3. John, Love what you have done so far. The Body mods are amazing, Chassis Incrediable. She is coming along nice!. I look forward to more updates. Thanks for all that you are sharing.
  4. Beautiful Builds man!! Love 'em both. Don't sell, you will regret it. I did that with one kit and wish I never would have done that. Been debating on building it again one of these days. Keep up the great work!
  5. Most Photo-Etched parts are made from stainless steel I belive (someone correct me if I am wrong) and most Stainless is non-magnetic, I do belive that there are some grades of stainless that are magnetic. Anyway as a recomendation for glues to use on photoetch parts I was recentenly advised by Charlie from Pro Tech says Future floor wax is a great glue for photo-etch parts. I am going to try this one myself. But I have used testors model master clear as glue and has worked great.
  6. This was a great show this past weekend. A big thank you to the Cactus Car Modelers and to the MoonLight Modlers for putting on this show. Was a great time to be had by all. There were many beautiful builds and nice to see them in person. I wished that I could of met and talked with more of you but to those that I did get to meet and talk to, it was a pleasure, What a great bunch of guys. I look forward to to the show next year and plan on being there for sure. Thanks again everyone!
  7. I personally would run another regulator on it. the compressor I have will go down to about 30 psi and if needed lower pressure would be hard to really maintain. I have a Delibiss Detail gun which is a Mini HPLV gravity fed gun that I will be hooking up a regular with guage right on the gun. I would also recommend that you put a moisure trap in the line. I would hook one hose up to your compressor instert moisture trap then hose out of moisture trap to your air brush/spray gun. Hope that helps
  8. I will be there! Looking forward to meeting everyone from here there
  9. I have to check out those fronts. He didn't have them when I ordered my funny car rears from him. Thanks for the heads up
  10. Dogfish... Thanks! Well little update, last night I got the inside of the body painted flat black and the nose piece glued onto the frame. So technically it is completed. I need to get some pics taken of it and will try to post some pics the next few days. Hoping to maybe get home early from work and be able to take some while the sun is still out so you guy can see the paint in the sunlight .
  11. Thank you Dogfish!! There was alot more time in this one than I had planned. Gotta love when you have to redo it twice.... I haven't had much time this week to touch this build or my other 1/16th scale build due to working a bunch of hours. Hoping to have some updated pics soon. I will be mocking the draster up with all of the body parts to take to a show tomorrow as a underconstruction. Will try and get a pic or two of it like that to show it all together.
  12. Virgil, Very nice build, She's a beauty for sure. What color is that? Keep up the great work buddy.
  13. Sweet!! I am going to have to check my one Hobby Store I go to. He held me a copy of the last issue

  15. That is too Cool!!! Looks great just like the real thing. You did a great job on this thing
  16. That is totally cool and looks fantastic. I really like the paint that you did on this build. Sometimes we need to build something simple and not so involved to get us back to table. I know I did that last year. Keep up the great work.
  17. Thanks Brad. looking forward to bringing this to the DSC even though it won't be done. I was going to try and have more done but I have been working some crazy busy hours at work this week which hasn't let me work on my models. lol Look forward to meeting you as well. Niko, the kind words are much appreciated my friend. After I had the colors painted I pretty much decided to look at my slixx decals that I had and picked ones that would look good and what I thought fit the build. I didn't want to over do it but wanted to have just enough on there. I am anxious to get this build done. Now I am trying figure should I spend most of my time to just finish this build or continue working little on this and little on my 1/16th scale funny car... Both builds have the blood flowing to work on them.
  18. Thanks Dan, You know it I will have this build there Thanks Jeff, appreciate the kind words.
