  1. Nice Build as usual John.... Car looks great and nice detail. That is awesome you shot the Kandy over foil.
  2. whats the Snake and Mongoose box look like?? just curious and was it a 1/16th scale kit? I have to add that Competition Resins has some nice body's I have two of them and parts and very happy with the quality of them.
  3. I am anxious to get the decals on the body. but I will be waiting a few more days. Derrick... what's the addy again and it will be on its way... if it's not there in 5 days just wait longer...
  4. I had to go with Real.
  5. Figured it was about time I post a pic.... Me: Me when I am painting:
  6. well I couldn't wait, I had to see what the body looked like on the chassis:
  7. Tedly.... You remember this car?? that is to cool. I think I have been to all of the drag strips in Cali from the Mid '70's to late 80's when my dad was on the team. Few of them no longer exists which stinks. Bradley, I think I may end up using the dragster from this kit to build the Spagetti Bender:
  8. Really like the stance now, it's perfect!
  9. You are making some nice progress. the doors turned out nice. Keep those pics rolling
  10. Nice and Clean build. its looking sharp. Great job on this kit so far.
  11. Depending exactly where it was on the part/body. I would do the body work and fill with my evercoat 2 part body filler that I use.
  12. Hey Mike I typicall do something like this with pics.... what ever your link is here[/img*] link in here[/img*] Link[/img*] I tend to hit return either 3 or 4 times before I put the next pic in to give some space between photos. By the way that is an awesome pic of being able to see in the body. I added the * in the img at the end so you would be able to see the codes, cause first time I did it took them away...lol
  13. Looking good so far
  14. This is looking great and you are making good progress.
  15. Dwayne, this kit only had the door lines that I filled in. Don't remember it having hood lines that I can think of.
  16. Very Nice Cranky!! Looks great and amazing paint work my friend.
  17. Very nice build. Nice job on all the scratch building parts. I recently purchased that same body from Competition Resins to build a 1/16th scale Fiat after my Vega F/C.
  18. Thank you guys, really appreciate all of the comments. I am excited about having this model completed.
  19. Thanks Paul, I have been talking to Terry from MAS about part # EFX1440 - 1/16th Scale Early Top Fuel / Funny Car Engine Detailing Kit (photo-etch kit). He is currently out of them at the moment. What he told me was his one photo-etch guy he was using went out of business or decided to stop doing that work and he has another company he is working with and hoping that the guy would work with him and not have such a high dollar minium to run his lot of parts. Anyway Terry told me to give him a call middle of April and am hoping he gets good news that he can place an order. All I know is when he does get them in, I will be buying about 4 or 5 sets so I have some here for my other 1/16th scale kits...lol
  20. No worries man, I am trying to figure a way to incorporate them. You have these on ebay?? I may have to get a set from you
  21. Thanks Greg, I have some Slixx Decals that I am going to be putting on it
  22. Thanks Darren. I think I may have to find another lindberg 61 kit to make this low rider again. Gotta have one low rider in my collection
  23. Tom, that body is looking great. I love the color you chose for the paint and the BMF looks very nice. Any way as promised I found that '61 in one of my old model magazine. It was from the other message board So people don't get mad that I am posting the cover. Its to show the date, the magazine was from back in 1991. anyway here are the pics.
  24. Very Cool Casey, I will have to measure the kits rotar/disk break to see what size they have and may go the resin route. Thanks for posting those pics. you wouldn't by any chance be doing just resin rotars would you?
  25. Jim that is awesome that you and your brother used to race one. I have always wanted to get my Super Comp License. I found this body at a swap meet at the NNL West in Santa Clara years ago and thought it would be cool to do something a little different. I could not tell or even remember who made this body.
