  1. Brad... as in mentioned in Paul's thread, I haven't been around here much lately and I got to tell you I am really digging this little build. Love seeing youbplaybwoth a brass chassis. This is going to his be a killer build.
  2. Paul... I haven't been around here much lately and man you are doing some great work. Between drawing up your 4 Link set up to finish up that killer block and now the rims you are drawing up. You have that computer working over time. I just hope Sandy doesn't hate me for it . I can't wait to see how these things print for you. Looking forward to your next update.
  3. John... I haven't been on here in quite some time. These engines are looking great. Looks like you have been making some good progress. The Alclad work is probably some of best I have ever seen you do. Keep up the great work on this build.
  4. Randy... thanks man. I appreciate it. Bob... thanks. No minions to be found anywhere. Truth be told, I haven't been to the bench in quite some time. Life has been a little crazy and really not finding the motivation to be at the bench, nor do I have the desire. Seth... Thank for you for the kind words. I would love to make it out to the the show at NHRA Museum this year if they have it again.
  5. Micheal... thank you. That is some awesome work with AutoCAD. I started my career using AutoCAd 12... then with Pro-E, then to Solidworks in 2007 and have also Learned NX along the way but Been prodomintly using Solidworks since 2007.
  6. You have a sweet set up for sure. Your work bench looks great.
  7. This is a great looking build so far. Love the CAD work you have done. It looks great! I am looking forward to seeing more work on this. I do have to ask what CAD program are you using?? I use Solidworks myself. I always enjoy seeing others utilize their CAD skills for our hobby.
  8. Holy Smokes Randy.... that is some awesome and impressive work. You continue to blow me away. And now you are making she suspension working?? I think it is time for me to pack up the funny car, put it away and start collecting rocks or something. You, Tim and Dave are just too darn good with metal.
  9. Tim... that is such an awesome piece of work. That Master Cylinder turned our great. You have many talents my friend. Glad to see you getting some bench time in.
  10. Brad... that looks great! I love the color of choice. I can't wait to see a little bit of weathering to it. It's going to look great. Glad to see you getting some bench time.
  11. Now that is cool. I am loving it. You did an awesome job on this one. Nice work.
  12. Paul... that is some grate work you are doing with getting the engine in the chassis and location for the midplate. the midplate looks great as well. I like the idea of printing it out on paper and using the paper template..was going to suggest printing the midplate and you can use that as a template as well. keep up the great work.
  13. Tim... I am amazed at your talents and attention to detail that oil filter set up has. Man that is killer. Each component is a model of its own. keep up the great work.
  14. Tim... this is looking amazing so far. I am sure you are going to knock it way out of the park when you finish it up. keep up the great work.
  15. Tim... that there is some incredible work on yhe fuel pump base. that is some nice work and what a gem it is. those oil filters look great as well. Every update makes me smile. I can't wait to see what you will have for us next.
  16. Brad.... I will have to send you the links of the couple of sources I am doing reseach on. Dave... thanks Buddy... I am sure not one would want this task... haha. but with the outcome inwould say time we'll spent. Art... thank you. you are right that the work will pay off in the end. I am going to try the liquid glass stuff I got from you and sure it will work great.
  17. Paul... Being able to plan and engineer things up front may be a bit more time consuming but it will allow you to confront some problem areas and address them prior to any building. It would reduce any reworking of some items for sure and once parts are fabricated things should pretty much fit like a glove. There may be a few things that may have to be tweaked but you could always add some extra clearance in a few areas to consider paint and some stack up of items. I am sure reading those books would make your head spin after a while.
  18. Tim... That is some freaking Amazing work my Friend!!! I will take one for wall Art Please!! . Those Pulleys are gorgeous and wow that Belt is just killer. I couldn't imagine how much time it took to trim the belt down in thickness. You did one heck of a job!!
  19. Hi Paul... I have to give you credit going back and redoing things To me it makes total sense to draw the chassis up and place the engine in to get the midplate location. the time spend up front designing will only help with the fabrication. I know I can't wait to do that on some future projects. I love what you are doing, you are rocking this build for sure. can't wait to see more.
  20. Nice work on the engine John, all of the detail will really pop once you get that alclad on it. very nice scratch building on all of the other components. Can't wait to see them all together
  21. Paul.... I nevet even thought about top stuido. I will have to take a look. although I have 2 sources I am checking out. Had a dear friend send me a link to one of them over the weekend. They are over seas but may not be a bad thing because they have threaded bolts that go down to .6 mm bolts. I am working on an updated hardware spreadsheet as well. Brad I will have to take a look.
  22. Sflam... thank you for the kind words. Danno... thank you. I didn't take that into consideration and don't want that happening. as to why I wanted to hear people's thoughta and ideas.. I also kind of thought about that the bead could represent the formed end like you said. Mike... thank you. the rivets are from scale hardware and now that they are not in business anymore, I am trying to locate another source for hardware like this. I have two potential sources thst may work great just need to see if they will ship to the states. Paul... I have zap a gap and plasti-zap which I don't think think should fog but that was my concern with the CA. I didn't even think of using the same brand clear. Joe... thanks buddy. I will have to see aboit testing them because I am curious too.aboit future but I may not test it on the body tin so I don't mess it up. Darryl... thanks for stopping by to check things out. I miss seeing your awesome work around here. I appreciate the kind words. Brad... the holes have a nice fit. but some may of been drilled out a tad more. I was thinking the same thing it would be easy to wipe down with water. Dave... thank you. I appreciate it
  23. Paul... you are more than welcome. if you weren't 3 hours away from me I would of been more than happy to show you things in person. You know I am always here if you need me. On a 2nd note.... I think I may have rubbed off on you of you are tearing down part of the chassis and redoing it . you could always go yhe brabrass route. I just wish I would of scratch built the whole F/C chassis instead of 95% of it. I know this chassis will be way better going back and redoing it. The hard work will pay off.
