  1. OOOOOhhh I like it!! It is just soooooo.............Fifties!! Beautiful '50's color too!! Amazing how carmakers back than had such a vision of what the future of the car might be. I would like to see fins return on cars (not that wild though).............I REALLY would love to see the return of the 4dr hardtop! That was a '50's idea that had all but disappeared by the '70's!
  2.  That's painted wood??? You coulda fooled me..........you got that grain of the wood so perfect!! Excellent job as usual Peter! That boat will be a great compliment to the Monte!
  3. Excellent interior touches Simón! The stickers on the luggage is an especially trick idea! I would've just stuck the luggage in there!
  4. Siiiiggggggghhhh........ I owned a 1:1 '69 AMX from 1987-92.......it was a 390 4bbl, with a 4 speed. The only reason I sold it was when I was being stationed down in Fort Jackson S.C.....I couldn't take it with me. I sold it in upstate PA...........and I check eBay from time to time to see if it turns up somehow there. Believe it or not, I STILL know the VIN number of that car, so if I see it and the #'s, I'll know if it was mine! Gotta build a model someday in memory of it...........
  5. Wow! What a serious 'tude that's got!! If that doesn't fool 'em at the strip I don't know what would! Very nice build!! Peterson!! Oh Peterson!!...............Ya gotta see this one!!
  6. Well along the same lines as what cars were around when we were just gettin' here..........I came across this pic on the 'net! LOTS of neat 'ol cars here..........looks to have been takin' somewhere around late 1961 early '62. I have no idea where this pic might have been taken...........anyone have any idea? I know of no place here in PA that used what looks like a river bed for a road! Makes you wonder if some of those cars still exist today?
  7. One more thing to add about Fotki.........you have to have a PAID subscription with them! Fotki will not let you link your photos to other sites unless you have a paid service with them.
  8. Zeb, it should go something like this............. Note there's no spaces in between anything...... As Ken mentioned, if you're gonna use Fotki, definitely make sure you go under the "Share Photo" button and use that URL...........simply right clicking and taking the properties off the pic won't work here! Hope all this helps.....we'd like to see some of your builds!
  9. Ditto Here! I'm not into lowriders either, but that one I like! I like the contrast of the "Landau Top" and the dark metallic blue!
  10. Bore me with a stock build?? Never!! That's a nice clean build of a not-so-often-seen car. Not a beautiful car compared to the later '63's styling wise......but much nicer than the absolutely grotesque '61 models! Yes, us factory stock guys have it a little tougher than the rest due to such things as BMF, paint colors etc...................but they're my favorite type of builds, especially if it's something I used to see on a daily basis as a kid. Keep showin' us more of your stock builds!
  11. So that's who built that! I saw that today in person and it's VERY nice Andy! Tell him to keep up the good work!
  12. Looks Fantastic Andy! Are you bringin' it to the picinic tomorrow?? I'll be there with the "not yet finished" Buick.........
  13. I LOVE that Lola Terry!! It's one of my favorite '60's racers! I have that kit and it's superb! Lord knows when I'll ever get around to building it.......
  14. Comin' along pretty sharp Simón! Nice touch on the interior..........in fact thanks for the interior pics because it's sooooooo hard to find pics of the hinges and struts!
  15. I tried to open them also but I got an "error" message. Could be the pics are no longer hosted by wherever they were, so they cannot be seen here any longer.
  16. Looks GREAT MJ!! Love the shine on that one! Where did you get the uptop? I would like something similar for the Torino Pace Car I have.
  17. I like it! Ready to hit those sand dunes in style! I like the idea of the wire insulator for the shifter boot..............great thinking!
  18. Very cool indeed Bob! 8) I like the weathering you did with the rust and all................very realistic!
  19. Sounds like a promo to me Jairus...........he doesn't say if the body is slightly (or severely) warped which is the standard condition today for promos made through about 1961. AMT handled the Ford promos in '57 and the T-bird was among them. Friction motors were also very common for promos made back in the '50's.
  20. Very Nice!! German silver is always perfect for that car!
  21. Hey John.............Nice 'Cuda! At first glance I thought that was the MPC 1/25 scale '69! Yes, I know how it feels to be in a "temp" environment! Just got word yesterday from my property manager that I have to move in 60 days because the owners of the house want to move back in! So yes, I'm house hunting too...............but no more renting if I can help it------the next place I intend to buy! This puts a crimp in my modeling as now I now won't have much time to finish that Buick.........
  22. Slick paint job!..............And I love the contrast of the engine!
  23. Lookin' pretty slick there Simón!! That Gunze Putty looks alot like the Tamiya putty which I've been using lately. 8) What final color have you decided on? If it's like any of your other work, it'll be super nice when done!
