  1. HI: This is one fine piece of craftsmanship......only one observation though....L-88's were radio delete cars as you have here......but you added an antennae.....minor point but beautiful car anway. Regards Bill (Duntov)
  2. Hi there!!!! I am in full travel mode and no time to build at the present. I dropped into Borders to get a magazine and came out with a copy of The "Rodder's Journal". I had forgotten about this fantastic reference. If you have never seen a copy then you owe it to yourself to take a look. There is enough 1:1 custom car material in one issue to keep you busy forever!!!! If you are constantly looking for ideas for your next build I can almost guarantee you will find it here. Regards Bill (Duntov)
  3. Your BMF work is nothing short of perfection!!!! Nice stuff!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)

  7. Hey Harold: This is a nice build up of an older truck......I remember when one of the magazines did a comparison of AMT-Revell_Lindberg trucks if I haveit correct.....(I even have the magazine tucked away someplace....)......you really hit the nail on the head with this version......thanks for showing this one to us.....VERY WELL DONE!!!! Regards Bill Duntov)
  8. Krishna: Nice job on this...RHD....clean build......very nice...... Regards Bill (Duntov)
  9. For those who asked about this kit.....it was produced a few years back....maybe 2003??? Others may know the exact time frame so chip in here if you do. The kit is by Mr Hobby. #188. Be aware though that the box art shows a coupe and not a roadster.....that is accurate in reality because you can build either one. The coupe top is a one piece clear casting so you have to mask it and paint it and then attach it......overall the kit is very well done.....albeit a curbside.......google it and a place called MFPilot will have one for about $24. I found mine in a samll specialty hobby shop (miliatry and airplanes) in Marietta. They have a few cars and a ton of paint and tools and this was on the bottom shelf way in the back.....interesting find!!!
  10. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....all the problems you encountered and you finish up with this!?!?!?!? I am impressed......VERY NICE!!!!!!

  14. I was wondering about the bumpers.....good counsel....will have to consider it seriously.....the body would appear super smooth in that way........
  15. Needless to say......I like this one a lot.....great crafstmanship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
  16. Nice stuff!!!! I like these kits a lot and your crafstmanship in the build really does justice to them......great job!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
  17. Hello: I was looking for a quick curbside build when I found this item by Mr. Hobby. It has been on the site at least one other time and has been around for a few years. I lowered the front about 4.5 mm and added after market wheels and tires. I had to narrow the front axel and rear engine / drive assembly by removing 4 mm on each side (total of 8 mm for each) to get the wheels and tires to tuck in under the body. I am going to use the seats from a Tamiya New Beetle kit plus a few other bits and pieces. Everything else comes from the kit. Suspect a two tone tan / black interior and a very light silver green metallic paint job. Hope you like it…… Regards Bill (Duntov) The rake came out great with simple removal and replacement of the front axle mounting boss.... The nose is low but not so low you could not drive it....... Got the "big butt" rear end I was looking for........!!!!
  18. Excellent job Matt.......both cars look great......your crafstmanship shows in your model.....thanks for sharing!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
  19. Bernard: This looks really good. One of my favorite books (Dry Lakes & Dragstrips) has a few pictures of very similar cars and it appears you have captured the stance and overall feel of these cars very well......very nice build....thanks for sharing this!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
