  1. Thank you guys! Can anyone tell me: is it nesissary for Topkick dump truck to have twin power steering (left and right side)?
  2. A little update with the wheels. I have bought couple wheel sets at Jamie This is trailer set, but I will use them for rear bogie. Jamie's Rear tyres, I bought several years befor at Sourcraut, turn out 1mm wider than discs. Modern Jamie's tyres are narrower. And there is no gap between rear wheels. Iguess I should make 1mm spacer from styrene. Slightly increased the center hole on the front Italery's disc Yeah, the second set of wheels had a couple extra front hubs. ...BUT somehow, let's call it the mating plane (marked with arrow) is very narrow and the width of the brake drum - the same And if the second thing was treated with cut down spacers of 1mm polystyrene, then the first needed a piece of tube with 12-14mm diametr. I had to cut a piece out of a 16mm tube. Here is how it looks like.
  3. Great work here! Keep it comming!
  4. I just have bought Jamie's wheels. The only probleme I can't upload new photos. I can't see anything under hidro tank & cilinder. Does anyone know: is there a transfer case on TopKick to tilt the dump bed?
  5. Strange! When I try to upload new photos, there is 404 Error appear. Am I the only one with this probleme?
  6. Hey Tommy! How had you treated with head lights? Do they have reflectors? Also I would paint lenses sides with black. And it is hard to paint deepening on white gril. May be it's better to cut deepening through using model khife back side? With care it may take couple hours, but I guess that worth it. I would do that with my '57-'60 Ford.
  7. Hello, Herman! Great work! Do you plan to make new grill for this project?
  8. Finally I have found the movie I searched for:
  9. A very small update. Just a little one: Made up front shock absorbers Here I cut out front hubs from Italery's wheels. I used 0,2mm Line chisel from Creos.
  10. Well, I know one person: http://trucksinscale.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=369
  11. Hllo Alain! Looks awesome! What have you used as a base? Looks like a real asphalt.
  12. Does the trailer covered with powder? Looks dark IMHO. Try to picture it outdoors. I think chrome powder is not the best way to imitate aluminum or chrome. It still to dark. But I like black base finish you've got!
  13. Great build, but I think truck frame should be shorter. I would build the cab from styrene. Good luck!
  14. Jerry's decals are good, but he don't print Gold & Silver colors.
  15. Thank you Charles! But it can't compares to your scratch building. Couple more photos of built rear bogie
  16. A little more progress. Scratchbuilt front cross members and finally asembled the frame.
  17. Hm... I guess Jamie doesn't ship to Russia? Tried to order right thru his site, but it require different shiping address.
  18. Before that, I must scratchbuild 4 front crossmembers specific for TopKick. By the way, does anyone have photos/schemes of cab mount brackets, front and rear, separated from the cab? I have some photos of cab mounts with the cab above. But I can' t see all of it. Specialy - rear one.
  19. I've got my order about 3-4 months before.
  20. Thank you my friends! A question: if I have Moluminum tyres with 22.5mm Inside diameter, they will suit 22" discks? Another question: Can I place an order through Moluminum.com?
  21. Thank you Ben! Can you throw a link in me with Jamie wheels?
  22. Finally I had a free day to open the box with TopKick parts. I didn't build 3 months, but I have something to show: I have bought dump truck decals at ModelTrucking Also Oleg Malakhov helped me to vacuum form new wind shield! Some wheel nuts and rear suspension pins (if it correct term). I will show latter what it for. I've found 4 spare disks in my spares for drive wheels. Here are MoLuminium hubs, that I will use, BUT.... ...they are smaller, then disk holes. I should punch some rings from styrene. Some brake drums. Here I made clear headlight lenses. I used moulding compaund & resin like these: Here is my efort to make working rear suspension. And tools I used. Inner part of saddle is made, using existing one as a patern. I will use "suspension pins" to fix everithing moving. 6 pieces on the left spring & 6 - on the right.
  23. Hallo Tommy! Nice work! Didn't you think to make side double door, like on your prototype?
  24. I've made my own circuit board for flashing lights in the last Custombilt 379 project. Anyway - Great work! You right, it make things easy. Where have you got that flashing system from?
