You can check MeltdownDrags.com for info and reference photos as they just had their "big event" this past weekend with 500 cars registered to race. Mostly gassers, but also altereds and rails too. It was a great time and the place was packed, not only with race cars and spectators, but also a car show and a swap meet to boot.

What irked me? Today I was behind three cars waiting for the red light to change to green, it did and nobody moved. I don't know if they were waiting for "candy green" or maybe they were all asleep as I had to blow my horn to get the parade moving. If people have trouble with "basic" driving, they should STAY home!

I attended the Meltdown Drags this past Saturday and they were runnin' 1/8 mile due to water on the far end of the track from the rains on Friday. Saturday was a beautiful day with cars mostly gassers from all over the country and Canada as well. The race cars are mostly gassers but there were altereds and rails also. All the cars that raced had to be "period correct" from 1966 or earlier. There was also a swap meet with mostly racing parts and a car show with cars from 1977 and earlier. It was a great time and an event that I enjoy being at every year.
