  1. Glad to hear that you have that taken care of and sounds like you've made a good choice. I huff & puff too much so I no longer mow the lawn or plow/shovel snow, and my wife and daughter has insisted that I stop these chores. I've been doin' them for so long I hate to give them up, but I guess i gotta. Oh well. So far we've been lucky to find someone to do these chores at a reasonable price.
  2. Built up................................................................................................................
  3. Happy Birthday Ron, and many more. Life is short so enjoy it.
  4. 50? You still have a lot of good years ahead of you if you're lucky. I know that for the longest time my age was just a number, however as I'm somewhat older than 50 it seems harder to go through each day. Of course a LOT of people don't get to reach the age of 50 and getting older is a privilege that is denied to many, so count your blessings.
  5. If there are any model car contests/shows and swap meets you would probably find lots of wheels and tires to purchase. I know that some areas in this country the swap meets are more plentiful than others. I'm rather lucky to have several swap meets to attend per year within a 50 mile radius.
  6. Why stop now???
  7. Hmmm, both of those cars seem tempting for me to purchase even though I'm doing my best not to buy anymore model car kits. I'm trying to buy less and build more, however right now I'm in a building slump and haven't touched a model for several weeks. I have the time to build but I'm busy attending cruise nights and also watching a lot of baseball on TV. I'm plannin' on attending a couple of drag strips this month and maybe that will "spark" my interest to getting back to doing some model car building? I've had an interest in drag racing since the mid-60's.
  8. Over the 50+ years I've had very few complaints with the delivery and service of the USPS and very happy with our current carrier. On hot days if I see the mail truck coming I'll try to bring the carrier a cold bottle of water.
  9. Great job on those motors.
  10. Went to a cruise night on this beautiful evening at it was a great time with lots of cars, good friends, a band playin' some good tunes, food, temps, etc. I'm lookin' for several more good nights like tonight this summer.
  11. We need more info on whether you're using lacquer, enamel, or acrylic paints. Maybe even what brand in order to help you with your painting problems.
  12. One of my favorite smells is of spent nitro fumes as it is really sweeeeet. I love the smell of lacquer and do most of my painting outside, however sometimes I spray a part or two in the house and my wife asks me if I've been painting. I always respond with "I might have" and never admit that I was. LOL!
  13. But that may not be true for posting photos on other sites.
