In the early days of modeling the instruction sheets would have the names of parts listed like oil filter, starter, cylinder head, etc. and I know that it helped me learn about cars in my younger years. They don't seem to do that much anymore if at all.
After ALL these years building model cars, I honestly believe that a number of people who work on the instruction sheet NEVER even built the model kit or worked on a real car either. Remember the Road Runner cartoons long before the Road Runner car was produced, and the BEEP BEEP sound? Well in my Road Runner kit that I recently finished the company never supplied the Road Runner horn. REALLY?
A lot of us spend too much time at their keyboards Dave, not just you. Perhaps down the road you'll see that you still have time to chat with us and do the other things you'd like to do as well. Good luck to you.
