I have had a jar of the Treatment wax for several years now and never used it. Wax is a protectant, and I have no reason to use it after polishing out the body with polishing cloths of different grits. On 1:1 cars I use wax to protect the paint from the elements.
I believe that Revell will have a manufacturer's display table at the Milwaukee NNL with a few of their "test shots." They've been doing this for a few years now, and it has always been a welcome addition to this event.
Not usually Harry, maybe I missed that one as I take off all the film, packing, etc. before putting my "Mints" in my display case. Good eye Harry, good eye.
There are some 1:1 car owners who have "drivers" and they expect to win at a lot of car shows. We'll they can either enjoy their car, or they can dump 30-40-50-grand into it and have a consistent show winner. Of course for about 2 -$300 a person can buy a whole boxful of trophies to display around their car.
I'm with you James, as I have a box full of model car contest trophies in the crawl space, but I'm sorry I threw out my drag racing trophies from the 60's. I did come across the window stickers they handed out along with the trophies though. Sort of like the "kill" markings they put on fighter planes during the war.
