  1. Don't rush time, as August will get here Mike. BTW, you and I have the same birth/year date.
  2. I have had a jar of the Treatment wax for several years now and never used it. Wax is a protectant, and I have no reason to use it after polishing out the body with polishing cloths of different grits. On 1:1 cars I use wax to protect the paint from the elements.
  3. Hmmmm, billions behind on union pension payments, how did that happen???
  4. I have photos from the mid-60's of dragsters being lengthened. Garlits was not the only driver/owner back then.
  5. Ya gotta "pull the trigger" and do it Harry, or else you'll be where you are today fifteen years from now. Trust me.
  6. Would it help to turn your speakers off, or no?
  7. I believe that Revell will have a manufacturer's display table at the Milwaukee NNL with a few of their "test shots." They've been doing this for a few years now, and it has always been a welcome addition to this event.
  8. I'll be lookin' at some DM's for sale next weekend on my way to the Milwaukee NNL.
  9. The landscaper came by and did my annual spring "yard cleanup." Now to get the deck power washed and stained.
  10. Congrats on your upcoming birthday as many people don't reach their 60's or 70's. As long as you enjoy the hobby, that's all that counts.
  11. A VERY Happy Birthday to you Richard, and many more.
  12. Test..........................................
  13. I hope to see some of you Midwesterners next Saturday at the Milwaukee NNL.
  14. Not usually Harry, maybe I missed that one as I take off all the film, packing, etc. before putting my "Mints" in my display case. Good eye Harry, good eye.
  15. Let's not forget the "bullet nose" either.............................................
  16. Very nice John, as I remember watching the rails back in the mid-60's smoke their tires all the way down the quarter mile.
  17. Many other people have been in your boat Harry and they've figured it out. I'm sure that you can too if you can get yourself to "pull the trigger."
  18. That request doesn't mean a thing as far as the Ranchero goes.
  19. How 'bout a '59 Bonneville......................................
  20. When? Revell will issue the Ranchero kit before I finish all the un built kits in my stash. I can guarantee that.
  21. I don't think so Harry, but then again anything is possible.
  22. I picked up a model kit for a friend and mailed it to him, and he called me to say the body was missing. Huh, I sent him a sealed kit?
  23. There are some 1:1 car owners who have "drivers" and they expect to win at a lot of car shows. We'll they can either enjoy their car, or they can dump 30-40-50-grand into it and have a consistent show winner. Of course for about 2 -$300 a person can buy a whole boxful of trophies to display around their car.
  24. I'm with you James, as I have a box full of model car contest trophies in the crawl space, but I'm sorry I threw out my drag racing trophies from the 60's. I did come across the window stickers they handed out along with the trophies though. Sort of like the "kill" markings they put on fighter planes during the war.
  25. Yes Richard as I've said that before and I have to agree with you. Having a photo of one's build in a model magazine is the cat's meow.
