  1. Last year I was able to pick up a beautiful '57 Olds 88 Hardtop resin kit, and I'm glad I did before Modelhaus closes their doors.
  2. I just ignore the pop-up ads, no sweat!
  3. That paint can be had from Mancini Racing out of Michigan.
  4. There was an attitude indicator in my mom's car, as I was teed off and slammed my fist into the horn ring and broke it. she wasn't happy 'bout that.
  5. WOW, I hope that I don't have the wrong dashboard in my car???
  6. Not a bad idea Greg, but I do have enough kits already and tying up ca$h for plastic is not a good investment.
  7. VERY nice job on that sled Tim, very nice!
  8. The picture you've shown is a 426 Max Wedge engine and not a Hemi.
  9. There are many educated, skilled, and hard working people in this country today without jobs. As for starting a business, you need money to do that, as the "shoestring" idea is a thing of the past.
  10. Sure you can wipe out every welfare or entitlement program, but can you replace them with jobs???
  11. Harry, you really didn't think that your property taxes would go down did you? They will NEVER go down, only up.
  12. They are in the new '65 Belvedere Sedan kit as I saw one of the test shots last Saturday at a club meeting, and like MIke says you can also find them in the Polar Lights '65 Coronet kits as well.
  13. If you have enough paint on the body, and a couple coats of clear, the paint is not going to come off while handling the body. Of course you need to let the paint dry for a week or two as well. I apply my decals after I do the BMF and before final assembly. You do NOT have to put clear over decals or BMF as that's a waste of clear. To protect the body, protect the decals, to protect the BMF, protect them from what, they are static models and sit on the shelf when we're done building them. We don't play with them, or leave them out on the deck exposed to the elements, etc.
  14. Great job on that Coronet as I just love dem Mopars! I have a builder '68 Coronet R/T that I'm takin' to the local swap meet this weekend.
  15. Mistakes always happen, this is my Plum Crazy Duster I finished a few years back using the Model Master Lacquer..................
  16. I use Testors enamel paint all the time, only for brush painting parts such as suspension, engine, trans, steering wheels, etc. and also for detail painting. Lacquers only when I'm painting bodies.
  17. I had heard that some of the Detroit vendors may be at the Wheaton Show this Sunday as well as big Bob from Bob's Paints. Make sure you pick up some of his wild colors for your spring painting/building projects.
  18. After you wash the body and while letting it dry, wipe it down with a paper towel to remove the water spots on the body, as I think that it will help your paint job.
  19. VERY nice job on that GM "boulevard barge," very nice!
  20. Modelhaus has great kits and parts, however it is getting more and more "iffy" if a person will be able to order anything from them in the near or distant future as I heard that the Holthaus's are "swamped" and they might not want anymore orders after they catch up with what orders they already have. People seem to forget that the Holthaus's want to RETIRE.
  21. Prayers go out to both of you.
  22. I had a "mint" '60 Edsel convertible kit many years ago, but the key word is "had." Yes I wish that I still had it today, but it's not on the top of my list.
  23. Very nice build on that Plymouth, and I know a guy that owns one in maroon in 1:1 scale and wants to trade me. I just love dem Mopars!
