  1. I've seen it as low as $1.42 9 just outside of Crook County.
  2. It might just be a rerun.
  3. Hands down, hmmm I better check my Road Runner kits. Thanks.
  4. Yes, I saw that on the news last night. It's called the "balance of nature" as many people die to make room for babies coming into the world.
  5. A Happy New Year to you.
  6. I did my first BMF job in the early 80's and it still looks good today on this El Camino..................................
  7. That's not good news about Michael Schumacher, and I'm glad that I've recovered from several skiing accidents in the past. Since then its been NO more skiing for me.
  8. I must be a dinosaur, but I've been building plastic model kits since the mid-'50's and have enjoyed the hobby. I don't think that I'll ever be interested in 3-D printed parts. The only thing I need is more motivation to finish more kits per year.
  9. Howz her airbrushing skills? LOL! Congrats and good luck, as I've known several couples on their "second time" around and they seem to be doin' well.
  10. The Char Grilled Maxwell Street Style Polish can be had at Portillo's for only $4.09 + tax. Enjoy!
  11. Very impressive collection Lance, and if I ever get out your way I'd like to see your cars.
  12. What pleased me today is that we're getting rain instead of that "white stuff."
  13. What a really nice clean build you did on that '55 Chevy, very nice!
  14. While I don't use an air-brush anymore, about the junk body to practice on, you can always use an empty plastic water bottle to practice painting. Try it.
  15. A few years ago the JoHan '63 Plymouths used to be plentiful at local swap meets. I know that I have one somewhere in my "stash."
  16. I use a toothpick to stir my bottled paints, as with a BB you shake it and get paint all over the lid. When the paint dries on the lid, it makes it hard to open the bottle the next time.
  17. Yeah I'm gonna hafta get a few of those Paczkis next week myself. I can afford to gain a few pounds, that's why I sometimes get a banana split for lunch or dinner for a change of pace.
  18. Welcome to the forum Kevin as this is a great place to be. Your models look great and I hope that you'll bring them to the Milwaukee NNL on April 9th.
  19. About a year and a half ago I took a look at our local Harbor Freight just to see what they have and I wasn't impressed at all. I have Craftsman tools that seems like they had lasted me forever. And when I was working, Sears/Craftsman always replaced broken tools for free and being in the construction trades I wasn't too easy on my tools. Like Bill says, spend the extra money and buy quality tools, you'll be glad you did. I've been buildin' models since the mid-50's and never had any use for calipers. I have a limited amount of tools for model building and I seem to get by very well with them.
  20. I've used zip ties for many years, and if you store them outside and they're cold, they can be more prone to break.
  21. With the taller stand, it keeps the body & paint further away from my hand and I seem to have more mobility that way.
  22. To avoid inhaling large amounts of paint odors, I think that wearing a respirator while painting will help considerably.
  23. You're not alone as we've got potholes here also, PLENTY of them!
  24. Many years ago when I was a bartender I had asked a guy to see his ID's and he said that he didn't have to show them to me. I simply replied that I didn't have to serve him either.
  25. The holes were that way in the late 50's and early 60's kits for the antennas, spotlights, and mirrors, remember that?
