  1. I stand to be corrected, as yes I was thinkin' of the Model King re- issue. Thanks.
  2. Hmmm, thanks for the info and I haven't been to Greenbay in years.
  3. I saw the car last month at the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals Show in the Chicagoland area, and over the years it's a show "not to be missed."
  4. The AMT '59 Imperial could be made into a hardtop or convertible, however both the '59 and '60 Lincoln Continentals were either the hardtop kit or the convertible, not both. The convertible kits had "parade" boots as I have them both.
  5. How 'bout these........................................................
  6. The R/T Chargers and Coronets had wood trim on the dash.
  7. For the most part, many of us do have the same stuff in our work areas. I however don't have room for a spray booth or a dehydrator and I seem to do well without them. I also don't have room for a paint rack, or many paint racks either. I also seem to get by with a minimal amount of tools as well, which works for me. While we're in the same hobby, many of us accomplish the same objective in different ways.
  8. Welcome to the forum Daniel as this is a great place to be. I still remember when my first new car was made in Janesville back in '65.
  9. We have the Lionel Polar Express train set around our Christmas tree, and my grandson loves it. When the tree comes down, I'm gonna add 'bout 40 more pieces of track and ad a tunnel and train platform as well. I'll be he's gonna go wild!
  10. Beautiful job on that roadster Shane, just beautiful!
  11. My wife and I went to the movies this afternoon and saw the new movie Point Blank. It was kinda stupid, however there was lots of action and some awe photography.
  12. Wow Lance, you're gonna hafta get a bigger house for all those die-cast, yes?
  13. Congrats Kevin, and as long as you've enjoyed it that's all that counts. I wish that I could "crank out" more kits per year than I do, however I have other interests as well as model car building.
  14. That trailer is lookin' good Wayne, and I myself am not exactly crankin' out the builds either. I have other interest as well as model cars and when I do work on them, or attend model car club meetings, I do enjoy them.
  15. I've been "down sizing my" my stash for the last couple of years, and I may not be done yet. I'm being more realistic 'bout how many kits I'm going to build and actually finish. Besides I'm tired of trading ca$h for plastic, only to have the kits sit on a pile and grow bigger with every purchase.
  16. With me aging every year, and the amount of kits I'd like to build that are already in my "stash," what molds that are already in storage and can possibly be used for re-issued kits is of little value to me.
  17. You "nailed it" Roy, Amen!
  18. I used to "hang out" at Skip's Fiesta Drive In back in the mid-60's and that was quite a place. It attracted many cars from gassers, street machines, muscle cars, pony cars, sports cars, and even a few dragsters. The food was pretty good too. I'll NEVER forget that place, and I'm sorry I didn't take any pictures in the many times I've been there.
  19. Like Rich had said, use tooth picks to apply glue to the areas you want to glue, as it's much neater. Put some glue on cardboard such as a magazine subscription card, and then use a toothpick to take the amount you want. I've been using toothpicks for years now, not only to apply glue but also to mix paint that come in small bottles. I use toothpicks by the dozens.
  20. Watching my 2 year old grandson opening all the presents that Santa had brought him. I know that it's a day early, but that's how it has to work this year.
  21. Hmmm, very nice however I like the clean version better. LOL!
  22. 90 Days? Wow, that's a lot as I just had a trans rebuild a few weeks ago and they kept the car for three weeks. Of course I was in no hurry for it.
  23. Nice builds, especially the dioramas. With dioramas, the more people look at them, the more detail they are able to find. I would like to build one, but I simply don't have the room.
  24. That's all 49 days? A few years ago my buddy got into an accident out of state, and the body shop took 'bout 8 weeks to complete the repairs. My buddy shoulda harped on his insurance adjuster to speed things up a bit. In 8 weeks I could order a new vehicle and have it delivered.
  25. Great cars in your collection Lance, and thanks for sharing.
