  1. Howz this one Ace?......................................................
  2. Great work on that rod build Gene as that's one sweet lookin' ride. I love your color choice as well.
  3. Yes, I often buy myself something around this time of the year and call it a Christmas gift to myself. While I do a fairly good job of gift wrapping, I don't wrap presents to myself as I feel it's a waste of my time and material. Just today I stopped at my LHS and bought some things for my grandson's Lionel train set. Really, he's only 2 years old? I currently have the train around our Christmas tree, but when the tree comes down I will expand the track by 'bout 40 sections and include a tunnel and a station platform also. He'll get a kick out of that for sure. Since I don't want any more model car kits at this time, I guess the train stuff is my Christmas gift. It works for me.
  4. Here's a photo of the "Big Boy" I came across just the other day............................................................
  5. Looks real good Jeff, and I myself wouldn't want it any lower.
  6. No, you can even get a lot of Mondays when you're retired also.
  7. Whatever works, as model car builders have a lot of "tricks" up their sleeves.
  8. A VERY Merry Christmas and a great New Year to all of you and your families.
  9. While I didn't know him at all, may he R.I.P. and my condolences to his family.
  10. The person driving in the vehicle in front of me with at least 3 or 4 empty car lengths in front of them applies their brakes as he/she is nearing an intersection with stoplights, and the light is GREEN. What's up with that?
  11. In regards to so called "high prices" for resin or aftermarket parts, there's an old saying that usually holds true, and that is "that one gets what they paid for."
  12. Spraying the decal sheet with a couple of light coats of clear lacquer, and letting them dry for 24 hours or more before using them might help the problem of decals splitting, cracking, and crumbling when soaking them in water. At least that's what I would do.
  13. I hafta agree with you, as I have enough work just finishing a model kit, let alone keeping records.
  14. I meant to say that the landscape company's around here use leaf blowers all the time, and I rarely see them use a rake.
  15. Cool photos, thanks for sharing.
  16. I'm sure that all of us could build a better model or improve on some of our skills, however I believe there is no "perfect" model. Some guys lookin' at your model might think that it's perfect, but.......... they didn't see how we "fudged" this or patched up that, or? Anyhow, it is suppose to be FUN, and if we don't enjoy building and it becomes a "chore," maybe we should find something else to do with our time.
  17. I'm a big "gasser fan" Tyler and I'm likin' your build, nice job!
  18. Boy that's a tough call choosing a model kit to build out of many. I have a lot of choices and a lot of cars I'd like to build (and finish). I was hoping to finish two more by the end of this year, but right now it doesn't look like it's gonna happen. One of the clubs that I belong to has "resin" for a theme and I do have a few resin kits that I'd like to build someday, soooooo I believe my next choice will be a resin kit from my stash and probably an AWB one at that. We'll see???
  19. Very nice job on that build Josh, keep up the good work and enjoy this forum.
  20. I've gotta give you guys a lot of credit for restoring "glue bombs" as I have enough trouble just working with "virgin plastic."
  21. Wow Lance, looks like you have an awesome collection from what I've seen so far. Great stuff!
  22. Lookin' good!
  23. I have a couple good sized curio cabinets with a mirror back and overhead lighting. These are wood & glass cabinets and I have on e in the living room and one in the family room. I suggest if you go this route, to get a good sized one and it will "inspire" you to build more and fill up the shelves.
  24. So Tom, have you learned how to fly your drone yet, or no?
  25. Dec. 15th and I took my ride for one more spin and to ad some gas to the tank as well. Guess all I have to do now is to wait for spring.
