High octane

I don't know how you get flocking on your windshield unless you turn your model upside down and shake it. To get it off the windshield, I myself would stick a paint brush into the interior and wipe it off the windshield.

While a number of modelers have had success using embossing powders, I have yet to try it and I still use Funny Fur/flocking.

Interesting, however my black leather jacket, switchblade knife, and thick hair w/grease are long gone, and the streets of Chicago just a memory. I still do enjoy the music of the 50's and 60's very much.

Don't remind me as we had raccoons in our attic a couple of years ago. Yes we did hire professional help to get rid of them. Of course they had to be trapped and relocated as it is humane and the law I believe. Cost us a good buck also.

While Modelhaus has always had some great stuff, I do have a few of their kits in my stash. so I'm goin' to pass when they open their website as I already have more than I will ever build. Trading ca$h for plastic and resin is gettin' old.

This I built in the early 70's using parts from the JoHan Sox & Martin 'Cuda and AMT lacquer rattle cans. I still have it in my display case today. The paint is original and it is a true survivor.

Did you check with MCW Resins? I would.

I use Devcon 5-Minute Epoxy as it dries clear. I also apply it in the spark plug holes with a straight pin so I don't get glue all over. This has been working well for me for many years.

I like the foam sanding sticks made by FLEX-I-FILE, as I use them all the time. Sure they're a bit expensive but they last a long time.

I don't think that's the one we're talkin' 'bout here as that is the Ski/Drag boat kit that was released in 1963 only.

I've never experienced any trouble using Testors Ultra Gloss Clear or Wet Look Clear, as I've used them both over a number of paint jobs and they came out great.

While I try to build all year round, I just hit a "slump" last month after the Milwaukee NNL. I hope that it doesn't last too long as I have a LOT of kits I'd like to build.

I recently picked up the '68 Hardtop, but somebody already called "dibs" on it.

That's what I tell the women driving a ragtop with the top down, is that they look good with their top down.

10 miles per gallon is not too good, however I get even less with a 440 engine.

That settles it then, I'm painting my Chevy engine blocks purple from now on.

Wish I could make that show as I could use a vacation right about now. The Milwaukee NNL earlier this month also had the theme of 100 Years of Racing at Indy, and I just love nostalgia drag racing too and have a number of built drag racing cars. Besides I haven't been in southern California for awhile either. Thought I would be there for a couple of days in October, but things got changed. Oh well. I hope that someone will be kind enough to post some photos of this event. TIA
