  1. You've got my attention, and what's the price on that book? Thanks.
  2. Hopefully a lot, instead of spending too much time at this keyboard. I'm tryin' to finish a '48 Chevy Coupe and also a Miss Deal Stude right now. I also have other started kits that I should finish as well as a couple that I'd like to start also.
  3. Miles, if you're not happy with public schools, you can always go to a private school or just quit altogether. I attended public grade and high school and had no problems worth mentioning. And of course my parents didn't have the money to send me anywhere else. If you can't change the situation, make the best of what you have.
  4. Call Rick and have him bring you a couple of "club flyers" to the next AMG meeting.
  5. It was good to see you Kennyboy and Kerry/Lily at today's S.L.A.M. meeting. Always seems like a good time there.
  6. Aloha, and a very nice build on that Willys pickup.
  7. I've been using Tamiya Primer on the last several builds and it goes on smooth and thin. If I can get away with one coat, I do as I like to finish a car with the least amount of paint possible. This way the paint doesn't bury any details, like moldings, emblems, scripts, etc.
  8. Welcome to the forum Harry as this is a great place to be.
  9. Really nice job on that Dart, as I just love dem Mopars. Back-in-the-day I lived 'bout 2 miles from Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge, and yes I did buy a car from there in'69.
  10. I haven't used snow tires for years, however when I did I usually had another set of rims that they were mounted to. "All season" tires seem to work good on snow and they do plow so I don't really worry 'bout driving when it snows. I also drive slower with snow on the streets, unlike other drivers who don't and find themselves in trouble.
  11. Cobraman, my father didn't take care of himself and he was gone at age 57. He expired before he retired. That gave me enough incentive to take care of myself and live longer than age 57 and to enjoy the last nine years in retirement so far. God can only do so much, you have to do the rest.
  12. Good new from your doctors is always pleasing.
  13. Nice build of an old favorite.
  14. With some unions there are benefits such as health care, pensions, savings plan, and of course the prevailing wage. In that case you can go from one employer to another and no need to negotiate as everything is already done by the union. All you have to do is work.
  15. Honest guys, I wouldn't be mad or hurt if we didn't get any snow this winter. Yeah right, what a dream.........................
  16. I was never a big fan of overtime, as I had a family to go to and outside activities as well. I was just happy to get my 40 hours per week plus benefits.
  17. Don't worry guys, just give it time and Revell will get to ALL your requests for model kits.
  18. The deceased also get property tax breaks, as shown on the 10 o'clock news the other night.
  19. They're all nice builds guys, don't stop postin' them yet. Thanks.
  20. Don't they plow out your way Joe?
  21. MANY thanks to all our vets for their service to our country and also to those who are currently serving as well. And yes I did remember to fly the flag today also.
  22. Back in '57 my dad bought a brand new Ford Fairlane 500 four door and it was a real "looker" with the two tone paint and the shark fin antenna on the trunk. Well for some reason, my dad didn't like it and said that he would never buy another Ford again, and he didn't. My wife has a Ford Taurus and loves it.
  23. I need more than that amount, as I have BIG plans.
