  1. Yes, they are selling a LOT of " more door trucks now days with a short bed as well. I prefer a standard cab with a long bed myself., as 85-90% of the time I'm the only one in the cab, and when I want to haul I have plenty of room to do so.
  2. Yes they were Greg. Those pics look like they're from the fifties and I really didn't start likin' cars 'til the late fifties. In the 60's I was definitely "hooked."
  3. Looks good to me, and I just love dem Mopars!
  4. I hafta agree with you unclescott on that Continental, it is one fabulous car just the way it came from the factory.
  5. Wow Chief, looks like you've got more great stuff for us modelers. If I get off my butt and start building like I'd like to, I'll definitely have to order some tires & carbs from you. I've ordered from you before, and would do so again in a "heartbeat."
  6. It's true that our drag racing hero's and icons are getting old and passing away, and some of US will follow them shortly.
  7. If I don't "pick up the pace" soon, that's about as many models that I'll get done also. Welcome to the forum as it's a great place to be.
  8. TURN SIGNALS??? You've got to be kidding. Although I use mine all the time, MANY drivers are WAY too busy doing other things rather than use their turn signals. Why would they give anyone the courtesy of what they're gonna do in this "Hurray for me/FY" world? We're supposed to "guess" if the driver in front of us is going to change lanes or make a turn, as the driver has absolutely NO consideration for other drivers at all.
  9. Put some "Donk" wheels on it Harry and you won't have to bend so low.
  10. That was very cool of you Ryan. I myself don't care much for Pro-Mods as I'm more of a "gasser/FED" kinda guy. However being at the drag strip usually is a good time.
  11. Time to see your pulmonary doctor Joe, and hopefully he can help you out.
  12. Soooooooo, howz it look in your garage?
  13. I was in San Juan last year and it's a great place to visit. As far as work goes, I gave that up awhile ago.
  14. What "irked" me today was as I was filling up my gas tank at the pump, I heard voices. Yep, some yahoo on the other side of the pump yacking on his cell phone. I hate when I gotta listen to someone else on the phone, at the pumps, at the store, at the post office, etc. I liked it back-in-the-day when people had to use a "phone booth" to make their calls.
  15. Kennyboy, I 'm glad you could join us today at the S.L.A.M. club meeting. Maybe you'll be back?
  16. I'd check with Russ Collins in the AMG club as he's pretty handy with hinges, and he may be at the S.L.A.M. meeting also.
  17. Hmmmm, I usually don't have a problem flying out of O'Hare and often fly on American Airlines as well.
  18. That looks like a "Victor" manifold, and I do believe one of the resin casters does that manifold.
  19. I really like that Bullet Bird" in your shop John. That is one sweet ride, and don't forget the fiberglass tonneau cover as well.
  20. UNSAFE at ANY SPEED? I had my Corsa doin' 110 mph in the pouring rain without even a quiver. Good thing the wipers worked.
  21. Glad to hear it Kerry, and I wish you a SPEEEEEDY recovery.
  22. Maybe a photo of the "test shot" when you get it Dave? Yeah, I'm droolin' all over my keyboard and contemplating on starting one of my MCW Satellites 'til yours arrives on the shelves. Thanks.
  23. I was "out & about" today and with the temps into the 50's and the fall colors here, summer is definitely gone. Last year I was with my better half and another couple and we did a "Fall Colors" motor coach tour of the New England states, and it was an excellent trip. I guess in two months I can expect to see that "white stuff" here also. Oh boy, oh joy, guess I'll just have to deal with it like I did last winter.
  24. Lil' Hot Dogger, you're kidding right? I wouldn't add that kit to my stash if you paid me.
  25. Nice build on that Chevy Stepside.
