  1. Another beautiful model by the Danbury Mint, however I won't be getting one as I tend to favor the cars of the 50's in my die-cast collection. I just love the fins, the chrome, and the two and triple toned paint jobs.
  2. Nice lookin' job on that Ford, really nice!
  3. Go Sox Harry? You mean they're going to go for 100 losses this year instead of just 99???
  4. We didn't get anymore snow Harry, you must live on the wrong side of the tracks. A VERY happy spring to ALL of you!
  5. Five Guys burgers are all right, but I haven't been there in awhile. I have to watch my diet and SLOW down on the fries and such. I am able to eat just about anything, but only in moderation. Last year at this time I was in a feeding frenzy and paid for it dearly. My doctor said, nothing was wrong, but that I needed to go on a "bland diet." That didn't last too long, but now I'm careful about how much junk I eat.
  6. Awesome video, and I've always liked "cheerleaders" as they can be the "best" part of many sports shown on TV.
  7. My "jar" paints are stored in a drawer with my building tools and are very handy. I've seen a guy pick up 'bout 15 jars before he found the color he wanted. SIMPLE fix to that is to label the tops of the jars, I did and it works great.
  8. There are a lot of steel wheels available from many sources including Modelhaus. You can checkout the links at Rocketfin or SoCalCarCulture and find a ton more of steel wheels by a number of resin casters. There are more steel wheels available than you will ever use.
  9. I enjoy having my Danbury/Franklin Mints, so in spite of all the rumors flyin' around, I'm still not havin' a "fire sale" for my die-casts.
  10. Everybody has medical problems of some sorts or another. If they don't, they will. The older we get, the more our bodies become like old cars, as our parts start wearin' out. All we can do is to take care of yourselves the best we can and try to enjoy life as much as we can, as our days are numbered.
  11. Well if some of you hope that the movie is "done right," the way to guarantee that is to put up YOUR money and have the movie done EXACTLY the way YOU want it done. VERY simple, just remember the part about YOUR money.
  12. You seem to forget that the leaf springs are on the "bottom" of the model and can rarely be seen unless the car is turned over or displayed over a mirror.
  13. No sealer is needed and I've used Testors clear with House of Color (Black Gold) paints with good results. Tamiya clear would probably work as well. I would use Tamiya white primer myself as I've had good results with it. I noticed that you're from Crystal Lake, and there is a model car club that meets in Crystal Lake on the second Saturday of the month. Wanna see a LOT of model cars? Check out the Milwaukee NNL on April 12th in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Send me a PM with your e-mail addy and I can send you a flyer.
  14. That's all Tom??? I believe that we're close to 80" of snow for this winter.
  15. Congrats to you Harry and the new mom & dad as well. I was a grandfather for the second time last August and I'm really lovin' it. My doctor asked me during my last visit how I felt, and I asked him how much time does he have to hear all my problems. LOL! Actually I feel pretty good for my age and am able to do just about everything that I want to do within reason. I thank God for my fairly good health. I'm also a firm believer in going to the doc regularly as I'm on a MISSION to collect as many pension checks as I can.
  16. Yeah I agree with you as the '67 Eagle was awesome followed by the '67 Ferrari 312.
  17. I'm PROUD of it Jim, thanks!
  18. Relax Harry, spring is comin' on Thursday, at least on the calendar. LOL!!!
  19. Really nice combo build Dan, and I really love dem Mopars!
  20. I was havin' lunch at Portillo's last Sunday and drove by one on the way home from dinner elsewhere with my better half tonight. Hopefully I'll get to a Portillo's next week. I'm getting older and can't do Portillo's everyday. like I've done in the past for a whole month. LOL! Sliders are okay once in awhile, and I have some in the freezer that I can pop in the microwave at times. I think the first time I had White Castles was in the early 60's when I lived in the city.
  21. Wow, that Willys pickup looks great and a good color choice as well.
  22. While I'm not at all disappointed, we didn't get enough to call it a "dusting."
  23. I've never had an In & Out Burger, but I heard they're great. I'll hafta try 'em next time I'm on the left coast.
  24. Greg, when I ship a convertible body I use a piece of styrafoam like they use in a floral shop and fit it in the windshield cavity to keep the windshield frame from being broken. Haven't had any complaints yet.
