  1. Don't know where you're coming from, what's wrong with the two tone paint? Whenever doing a two tone paint, after the first color is dry and the model is masked for the second color, ALWAYS spray a little CLEAR at the tape edge first! That way the second color cannot bleed through.
  2. Buy the black Road Runner, you'll be glad you did.
  3. Great job and the building came out lookin' real good. The heliport looks to be on the small side from the ones I have seen.
  4. All of you seem to forget that the weather is a lot like traffic, there's NOTHING you can do about it! The sooner you accept that fact, the better off you'll be.
  5. I moved almost 17 years ago and hopefully ir will be the last time, but one never knows for sure do they?
  6. Terry, Even the Sox & Martin Pro Stock 'Cuda was running dual distributors along with other teams also. Dual distributors werevery popular then and some guys are running with them today also.
  7. While not good news that another hobby shop is closing, it is not the 60's anymore where being a hobby shop owner was a good business. A lot of people and kids today are too busy doing other things to have a hobby such as building model kits or model railroading. Owning a hobby shop is a tough business to be in today.
  8. Mark, You're right, it's a matter of TIME MANAGEMENT. I can blame the computer, the TV, the club meetings, yard work, or whatever, but it all boils down to Poor Time Management on MY part. If I really wanted to finish the '70 Challenger or whatever I'm working on I would make time to do so instead of making excuses.
  9. I think that you got it this time Roger as it is looking great so far.
  10. Mark, you make some valid points and I'm sure some of the subscribers will agree with you while others just don't care. You're right about getting your work done in a timely fashion or risk the fate of being fired from your job and joining the ranks in the UNemployment line. I had mentioned the damaged issues bit with Gregg at an NNL about 3 or 4 years ago and he had told me that he was working on bags or envelopes to protect the issues like some other publications that I get. However it must be more economical to replace a few issues rather than bag all of them?
  11. You don't care what the date says on the cover? How about if your meals are a couple days late, or your paycheck a couple weeks late? Don't you care about that either? I certainly don't want to have the November issue delivered to me in February and be happy about it.
  12. The Revell "Big John" '41 Willys is TOPS on my list.
  13. Chris, You hope I like it? It looks AWESOME and I really love those flames! So what if it's not detailed to tha max, that Merc really "pops!"
  14. Great job on the 37's Richard but are those wipers in 1/20th scale? They look too big.
  15. Thanks for the recommendation George as I will be ordering from him also.
  16. That Dart came out lookin' really good Jim. Weren't the Hemi Darts heater delete? I still have a couple of those antenna balls in yellow with Mooneyes on them.
  17. Harry, Molded in grey styrene? I just picked up a '65 edition of that kit and it is molded in white styrene plastic. The earlier issues were in '56 & '57.
  18. Felix, just open up your wallet and they'll be there.
  19. I bought a six-pack hood for a '69 Road Runner quite a while ago from AFX n' Scale and they are no longer in business. I don't know if anyone else makes them.
  20. Ian, I rememer that car well and probably took a photo of it also. You have a lot of work in that build and I'm sure it's going to look great! Let me know off board when the magazine coverage of that show starts showing up on the newstands. Thanks.
  21. Can't be that cold if that young lady isn't wearing a hat or a scarf over her face, can it?
  22. Nice job on that Coronet,as it is one of my fav cars. I have several of the PL Coronets in my stash.
  23. Star Spangled Blue would look good, I used Icy Blueon mine and really liked the way it came out.
  24. I've been using Clorox Bleech for years and it seems to work well. Sometimes better on some kits that others.
