  1. Ernie, I built the 427 SOHC from AMT's '33 Willys with no problems.
  2. Your project looks good Ian, and I hope you post the finished model when you get it done.
  3. Dave, Keep your chin up and continue to have a good attitude and push yourself. Sounds like you're off to a good start. No matter what,a person can dream and wish all they want, but it won't happen unless they make it happen. Best of luck to you.

AWESOME build as it looks really great!
  5. Donald, I too have an office/hobby room but it works well for me. I haven't a spray booth as yet, but I've been thinking about getting one. While some guys have the whole basement to themselves and other have a small space, you got what you got and make it work.
  6. Harry, I have to agree with you on that as I buy them for parts cars. I used one to build my Super-Stock '64 Belvedere awhile ago. The kit contains a max-wedge engine, roll bar, steel rear wheels, hood scoop, slickc, etc. which are a great addidtion to my "parts box."
  7. Me too, I've used it over white letter tire decals and it works great!
  8. Chuck, Several years ago Revell came out with their '49 Merc kit that came with a built-in-chop and it proved to be a very popular kit.
  9. Kurt. I'm sure you had a good time and I wish that I could have gone, hopefully next year. Excellelnt photos of many great builds. Thanks for sharing.
  10. I finally picked up the new Chi-Town Hustler kit as I have been out of town on vacation for the last two and a half weeks. I also got 30% off on that kit at my LHS.
  11. Wow Bobby, you're doing a great job so far!
  12. Marcos, That '59 Chevy is just plain AWESOME! And that's what I was told in the past is to shoot the white pearl over a white primer. I have never tried it as yet but I plan too.
  13. Jeff, I have used the Devcon 5-minute epoxy for years and it works good for me. I'm also able to glue different materials together with epoxy such as detailing wires, photo-etched parts, clear parts, etc.. Before I used epoxy, I used to bring a "repair kit" to shows and contest but no need to when you use epoxy as it holds really well.
  14. Your dragstrip and "wall art" look really cool! However, I don't get out to Colorado much even though I have a good friend living in Aurora.
  15. Steve, your wagon project looks interesting so far.
  16. My LHS was out (?) of Hemi Darts and all I bought was a jar of Testors MM Turn Signal Amber Metallic paint. Oh well.
  17. I don't know who you talked to at Revell, but if it was Ron Merkel, you're right that the odds of you getting a new body are slim to none.
  18. Stopped at my LHS and picked up the '68 Dodge Dart Hemi kit. Looks like a pretty nice kit but it does leave some things to be desired, oh well. The new funny car and Indy car kits were also on the shelves.
  19. You could also use "smoke" colored acetate.
  20. Drew, You can check with Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland as they have some boards also.
  21. Nice job on that Ferrari Andy, it looks real good.
  22. Are there any resin casters that make a '66 GTO convertible body? Thanks.
  23. Roger you did a nice job on that old Mopar and I like that sixer in the engine bay also.
  24. Mike, It's as easy as 1 2 3. Clear it, let it dry real good, and use a polishing kit.
  25. Nick, that's a good one but my wife likes the idea of my model car hobby and has also told me to buy a 1:1 car which I did also. She is not a car person, but she is happy that I enjoy mine in any scale.
