High octane

I was able to pick up the new Revell/Model King '50 Austin Gasser kit today. I didn't see Monogram's Indy Racer or I would have bought that also. And of course like a lot of you, I'm waiting for the new Hemi Dart as well.

Good advice on the respirator use Ed as I had worked at a nuclear power plant and guys with beards were required to shave them off in order to wear the respirator correctly like you stated.

Jeff, Your build might be a Pro Mod, but it definately isn't a "gasser."

Spraying a coat of clear lacquer over a sheet of decals is not a bad idea, especially if they're older decals.

Mike, I have belonged to a club for about 12 years now called C.A.R.S. in Miniature and it works well for me. They meet in Crystal Lake on the second Saturday of the month at 7 p.m.. As far as contest goes, there was one in St.Charles on the 1st of August, one in Crystal Lake yesterday and there will be one at the Rosemont Convention Center on Nov. 20th & 21st. I have more mint unbuilt kits than I can or will finish building in my lifetime. Unless I live to be about 135 and my eyesight doesn't get any worse over the years. And of course I would also have to stop buying any more kits also, like that's really going to happen. If all the kit maufacturers stopped issuing kits today, it wouldn't phaze me one bit.

Roy, I have used Krylon gloss black under Spaz Stix Mirror Chrome and it works great.
