Michelle,
You're a trouble maker as I checked out that site you recommended and I was drooling all over those Mopars for sale. And to top it off my better half said that we don't have room for any more cars! Thanks for the site.
Troy,
That Merc kit is a really good kit and there are 147 different ways to build it. Look at the kit for awhile, look at pictures of Mercs, and then you will get a feel for how yours will turn out. Good luck!
Virgil,
While I don't build rusto rods, or junkers, I do appreciate the amount of work and detail that goes into them. I liked your tutorial and photos of your builds, thanks!
Cato,
I did my first BMF job on and El Camino in the early 80's with NO clearcoat over it and it is holding up well. I have it in a display case that was made for the Elky and the Ski/Drag boat that's behind it.
Wow, just got the new(?)issue May/June of Model Cars in the mail today and it was intact for a change. On the top of page 6 are some decals for the new and also the vintage Challenger kits by Mike's Scale Speed Shop and they are really great. I bought mine a few months ago and the chrome is good and the decals are crisp and easy to read unlike some of the kit decals. Yes I DO recommend them.
Don,
Back in 1960 an AMT kit sold for $1.39 plus tax so you must have got a discount. Those days were a lot different than today as far as model building goes. The changes made have been incredible! However the times were a lot better than today's times are, in my book snyway.
Really nice lookin' Nomad Shane, are you going to put a HEMI in it?
