  1. I have been using the black battery cable from PRESTON'S CAR PARTS and I use a #64 drill bit for the hole in the wheel. I also use Preston's pre-wired distributors on most of my engines.
  2. You did a really nice job on that Super Bee as I just love Mopar B bodied cars.
  3. You've done a really nice job on that Ala Kart. If ever I get around to building mine, I hope it turns out as good as yours.
  4. Gasser? Looks more like an altered wheel base match racer.
  5. I would LOVE to have that kit, but not at that price. I'm just not willing to shell out that kind of dough for a model kit when I could dump money into my real car.
  6. The model car contest at the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals is THIS weekend Nov. 20th & 21st at the Stevens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois which is the same location that the iHobby Show was last month. The contest is FREE and open to all ages. Show hours are 9 to 9 on Sat. and 9 to 5 on Sunday. Bring in your models on Saturday or onn Sunday morning. Judging will be between 1 & 3 pm with the trophy presentation at 3.
  7. Your Satellite is lookin' real good so far and would look great with dog dish caps, or are you going to just go with the steelies??? I'll be checkikng it out at The Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals.
  8. Awesome model room Jim, and I'm glad I got to see it while it was still clean. May you have MANY enjoyable hours there!
  9. AWESOME job, excellent execution, and a really great looking Mopar wagon!
  10. You did an awesome job building the Freight Train. I remeber seeing the car back in the mid 60's when it traveled to the Midwest to race.
  11. It's great to be a member of this forum as it is entertaining as well as very informative. There's a LOT of great building talent here.

  12. EXCELLENT info, many thanks!!!
  13. Yes, I do as back in the 60's I used to drag race both on street & strip. I also used to yank out motors & tranny's, rebuild & modify carbs also. Now I hsve a good mechanic to work on my vehicles so that I can enjoy retirement and not turn wrenches anymore.
  14. Looks real good, nice job!
  15. What kind of show rod kit are you looking for to trade the Ghost Cuda? I have a factory sealed AMT Li'L Gasser if you're interested.
  16. Gregg, Seems to me that you would be the one to ask this question as I have wondered about it for quite some time and it is NOT just related to Model Cars Magazine. Back in the 60's it would take 6 to 8 weeks for the first issue of a new subscription to arrive at the subscribers house. You mean to tell me that in this world of sending men to the moon and all the computers we're using, that nothing has changed over the last 50 years?
  17. Wow Mikey, your project is AWESOME already!
  18. There is info about the contest on the website, check it out.
  19. For those of you familiar with the iHobby show location at the Rosemont Convention Center near Chicago, there will be another show at the same location next month on Nov. 20th & 21st. It is the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals and it will have a model car contest. The contest will be run by members of C.A.R.S. in Miniature of Crystal Lake, Illinois and will be open to all ages. Bring your models on Saturday and you will be issued a pass to pick them up on Sunday. There's no entry fee for the contest. The show itself is really good as I was there last year and it promises to be even better this year. In my opinion I found the show to be better than the World of Wheels Show held in March.
  20. I've vacation in Virginia and Virginia beach in the past and it's a nice area. My whole family enjoyed it as well as myself.
  21. Bruno, did the "recall" wheels come with the Daytona kit or did they come from another kit? Thanks.
  22. Lunch at the local Hooters restaurant? Have him buy you lunch at Hooters in Honolulu, you'll like it I guarantee it!
