  1. MHC? I work at an MHC but I'm guessing yours has a different connotation. Mine stands for Mental Health Center.
  2. Stupid and public. The club used to do the hobby show in Toronto when it still existed. We would have a display and then sit at either end building. Glued my fingers together with ca while people watched. O.K. no problem, I have debonder. Used debonder but not all fingers came apart so without looking up I grabbed what I thought was more debonder but instead it was more ca. So I ended up with whole left had glued together and had to use a lot of debonder to get the whole mess apart. All this while people watched...This is what not to do when building a model.....
  3. Thanks Steve. Yeah, I know how that goes. You put all that work into something and you think you could never forget what went into it but awhile later it's "Now how did I do that agan?".
  4. Very Cool builds, Ron! Nice to see the classics getting some lovin' Like the before and after concept.
  5. Very Cool Jean-Jacques! Very nice build. Excellent interpretation of the Sketch-Pad illustration.
  6. Steve! That's a great Tweedy Pie. Your expense was well worth the effort cuz that is Saweet! What paint did you use because it looks spot on?
  7. Going back to the original topic: That is a cool buggy, Frank. Interesting trailer for an interesting concept for a movie. Lots of post apocalytical stuff for Dr Cranky.
  8. Well, it might not have turned out as you wanted, it's still a great build! It looks like one tough little Bimmer racer. I like it a lot.
  9. Wow! Kenny! That is one mean lookin' little Willys! Love the colour combo and engine detailing. Job well done sir!
  10. Well that would be great by me! And there was one that did run in 2 or 3 Nascar races so it could be a Model King release. Hey we can dream...
  11. Yeah, you don't want the phone to ring while all that lacquer cloud is in the air, it might blow him all the way to Pittsburgh! lol!
  12. Still planning on getting there. Looking forward to it.
  13. Sorry Rob! I was just looking at the F.A.S.T. site and realized it's just being reorganized. Try here it might help http://www.secretsofspeed.com/
  14. The four banger was hopped up quite a bit in it's day and even nostalgia rodders now are using it for something different. There were overhead valve conversions, updraft carburetors and any number of things done to them. Check out this site to see more info. http://www.hotforhotfours.com/
  15. A couple of things. First: I believe that Revell tried to appeal to the younger builders with the Ford Focus, Honda Civic and Acura Integra kits. I don't believe they did very well. Don't know what to make of it - just putting it out there. The other thing is in general, the younger crowd aren't as passionate about cars as we were. I mean when I was of age everyone and I mean everyone, boys and girls alike, wanted to learn to drive and wanted a car. Virtually every male was a car nut to some degree. Now I know of whole families where the kids have not learned to drive. They could care less about cars as long as someone has one somewhere to drive them to where they want to go. To them a car is like a stove, an appliance that somebody else uses to serve you. Now don't get me wrong, I know there are plenty of car crazy young people as evidenced by the younger model builders on this board but it's not as pervasive as it was 30 years ago. And this lack of car passion that we had then is bound to affect car modeling now.
  16. Wow! That's quite a variety of cars. Each and every one of them well done. I especially like the Corvette being a Ron Fellows fan as well. And I have a soft spot for VDubs...
  17. Not only midgets but hot rods would look spiffy with some of these numbers on 'em. Many possibilities for these decal sheets.
  18. Love longroofs! Especially this one since it's a FORD and because it's a 59 - a very good year indeed. Great job on this one sir!
  19. Wow! Beautiful build! Love seeing Can-Am cars built up.
  20. Thanks Dave. We are hoping to find out more this Thursday when she goes for more tests but it was just too close to travel day to NNL East to take chances. Fingers crossed for next year.
  21. Hey Dave. I was supposed to be going. Motel was booked, looking forward to the trip and cheeseburgers and lots of buying and checking out eye candy but unfortunately my wife has become ill and I've had to cancel the trip. I will be thinking of all of you Friday night and Saturday and will just start looking forward to next year's trip instead. I'll be looking forward to pics and hearing what next year's build themes will be.
  22. Really like the lime colour. Love the front end treatment too.
  23. Love the bare metal look to this model. Good way to go with it.
  24. I can't think off the name of it right now but it is the deluxe version with the rare black bar bug deflector....
  25. Gorgeous GT40 Eric! You did a great job on those swooshes. Beautiful model.
