  1. I don't know but that's awfully perfect looking shrink wrap for a 24 year old kit....
  2. That is beautiful! The colours are so period correct. Very nicely done, sir.
  3. Very tasty 51 Fleetline rat! Nicely done sir.
  4. Thanks for adding that info about prepping resin for painting, Mike. I knew I was forgetting something when I typed my reply.

    Dome Zero RL

Great detail and decal job. Very cool period Lemans race car.
  6. Steven, resin works a little differently. To glue you must use super glue (cyanocrylate) or 2 part epoxy. Resin tends to be brittle so chop carefully. Also it's very important to wear a mask when sanding, chopping or otherwise modifying a resin piece as the stuff is really not good to breath into your lungs.
  7. Sweet Skyline. Great decal work.
  8. Tim, some Toronto area hobby stores you could check with include Wheels & Wings on the Danforth, Dailey Hobbies in Whitby, Panther Hobbies in Mississauga just got a big collection in so they could have it available.
  9. Really liking this build Curt! Love those old Porsches.
  10. Ranchero would have been considered a commercial vehicle so it wouldn't have shown up on a folder for fine cars....now if they had done one for Ford Fine Trucks...
  11. Welcome Eric! Hope you enjoy your stay! As others said, any questions feel free to ask. Enough of us from Ontario here to help with sources too.
  12. What a piece of junk! And I mean that in the nicest possilbe of ways. But being a 34 Packard boattail speedster it would be worth hauling out of the junkyard and restoring.
  13. Wow! What a save! It makes for a beautiful mild custom. Job well done sir.
  14. I can't get a decent finish out of a rattle can despite following all the things you're supposed to do. Every time I paint a body with a rattle can it looks like the surface of the moon. With an airbrush on the other hand I get nice smooth finish with just a little polishing needed. Rattle cans are made to be decanted into airbush bottles.
  15. James, a scriber is great for deepening panel lines so they don't flatten out/disappear when painted. Also if you are doing conversion work, for example changing a 4 door to a 2 door, the scriber comes in handy for making new door cut lines etc.
  16. Not what I was picturing when you said female ranger but that is great work! All the colours and shading on this very small figure is great. Job well done.
  17. That t-shirt is too cool for school! Tom, ya gotta wear that one to NNL East so we can spot you!
  18. I'm with Mike and Alyn. When the Hudson and C300 were announced, I was all excited over the Hudson and rather ho-hum about the C300. But seeing them built especially the black one - now on the gotta have list. Thanks all involved! And Skip, I like the way you think. A 56 Continental in 1/25th would be fantastic!
  19. Love Woodies! Great job on that one. Have loved the mercs since the Mod Squad had one.
  20. No Mercedes this year?
  21. Ooooh! Diorama idea! Park it sideways, put a ramp next to it and have Fonzie on a motorcycle heading toward the ramp! Eh? Eh? Seriously, cool build.
  22. By the by if you're just down as far as Orillia, Lahay's hobby shop is an all around hooby shop with a little bit of everything for everyone (yarn, trains, art supplies etc) but not a bad kit selection for a small city store. They are on Mississaga street in Orillia.
  23. Derick, if you're in Toronto Wheels & Wings is a fantastic hobby shop. They have everything model related you could ever want. They are on Danforth Road just west of Woodbine ave. If you find yourself further east Dailey's Hobbies is also a fantastic hobby shop. It's in Whitby on Thickson road.
  24. I went with model for the same reason Del did: That antenna is about 2 inches around if that's a real car.
  25. Welcome Ed! That's a sweet 32 Vicky! Hope you enjoy your time here on the board.
