  1. That is indeed another beautiful Yost build! Gorgeous paint job and great work on engine and chassis. But Dr. Cranky that car looks to me to be blue not gold!
  2. Very Nice! Really like that colour combo too.
  3. That's a fantastic paint job! The rest of the model great too! Tell Hakan job well done!
  4. Love that 48 kit! You've done a great job on this one. Great colour and it looks just like it came out of the little pages!
  5. Great Nova! Very well built. Welcome to the forum.
  6. Dean Milano used to have a brick and motar toys and cars museum but did not get enough support and could not keep it open (I believe, I could be totally wrong on this). It is now as far as I know a virtual presence only.
  7. Greg, you realize you just ruined Harry's next Auto I.D. quiz? Just kiddin'
  8. Sweet Civic. Don't see many of those kits built. Yours turned out mighty fine.
  9. Very, very nice 36 Ford. Well done!
  10. Very clean build and I too like your seat inserts. Job well done, Derrick!
  11. Very nice pair of Corvettes, Jonathan. Somewhat partial to the 63 as it's one of Ron Fellows' last rides.
  12. Great to see the photos, Bill. And the best news of all is that at least one student has gone to the lhs and purchased another to keep on going with this hobby. Bravo, sir all that work was worth it!
  13. I'm sorry but I disagree about the no "tool using hand-eye coordination necessary" statement. You still have to have good eye hand coordination to get computer images to do what you want. I can't draw anything but disfigured stick men on paper and I can't even achieve that much in paint or any other image program I've seen. The only way this stuff would work for a lot of us would be for the kit (for lack of a better word) be available as a file that could be sent directly to the printer without user manipulation necessary.
  14. Prolific designer of many Italian automobiles as well as many others, British, French and then some.
  15. The Great Race, once a time endurance rally for pre war cars, now for any pre 69 vehicle, is doing a rally around the Great Lakes. They started in Traverse City, Michigan last Saturday and will end in Dearborn Sunday, July 1st. They will stop in a number of towns in Ontario including Barrie last evening. I was there and got pictures of the cars as they came in. My original plan was to take pics as they came in and then take more detailed pics after they were all parked. But in the meantime I hooked up with a group from the Model A club and was asked to join them for supper. As I hadn't seen any of these folks for awhile I decided to join them and my detailed pics went out the window so to speak. Anyway without further ado: http://public.fotki....reat-race-barr/ More pics at link!
  16. Curt, That's a cool little vintage racer! Nicely built little Merc. Love seeing pre-war stuff built like this.
  17. Insert sound of latex glove snapping here!
  18. Very nice Poncho. Nice'n low. Great colour combination. Like the under hood detailing too.
  19. That is great! In my mind I see a Jaguar saloon bearing down on it from behind. Too cool!
  20. No wonder the magazines are always running late. What's the rush to get a 2012 issue out when it's only 2010? Just teasing Big Kahuna....
  21. Thanks Daryl! If it's not here by next Friday I will be giving them a call.
  22. To the Canadian subscribers: Do you have the April (issue 167) mag yet? I'm not trying to start something, I'm just wondering if I should be giving Golden Bell Press a phone call or not. If nobody up here has it yet I will just hold off. Thanks.
  23. I understand Chuck Most built a nice custom Hornet. I read about it somewhere. I dunno, it'll come to me.....
  24. R&R should be all right for what you're doing cuz once you put that steam engine on it nobody will notice any imperfections. What? This isn't for the same project?
  25. That's what I dislike about trying to rescribe panel lines. I keep 'jumping the groove'. Currently trying to deepen the lines on an unpainted 48 Ford coupe and am making more of a mess than anything. Trying BMF scriber and back of Xacto knife. Of course I couldn't draw a straight line if my life depended on it so trying to make my hand follow where the panel line is supposed to be is a challenge.
