  1. I don't know. The more I look at it, I think you could start with a shuttle kit from the original Star Trek. Put wheels on it and a big plastic front windshield and you're almost there.
  2. Looks very authentic. Nice job on this build.
  3. Lookin' good! Love those early Nissan Rally cars. Job well done.
  4. Great work, Matt! I have those two as well as the new Mini sitting in queue. Have worked on the Mini. I find detail a bit soft as well as the plastic as I try to eliminate mold lines. Anyway fantastic Jag and Aston!
  5. That is extremely well done. I've always loved these little Beetle Campers. You did this one proud. Love all the details and the carpeting inside. Well done. I can't see the license plate clearly. Is it a West Virginia plate?
  6. For me the difference in scale is only important, if as Tom alluded to above, one is considering doing a diorama. If the different scales are displayed together in what is supposed to be a coherent scheme, the differant scales could destroy the illusion one is attempting to create. It wouldn't look good if a Mustang were bigger than the four door sedan police cruiser that had pulled it over. But if it's just for the display shelf well then.... meh.... doesn't matter to me as long as the subject is interesting.
  7. Ooohh! I have that book. I've had it for years! This is the first time I've seen another one. Cool book and you're right I would love to see the others in this series.
  8. That's real cool, Neal! Though I'm afraid the headers might set the wood sides on fire!
  9. Very cool! Like the weathering done here as well. Crusty ol' rod.
  10. Ron, that's exactly what I thought when I saw it. It looks like a lightning rod from the top of a barn or old house.
  11. That is a really neat take on a Matador. Well done, sir!
  12. Aha! I was right for once! Woohoo! Thanks Gregg.
  13. I've been seeing them for a couple of days now. I've been assuming Gregg is allowing this to help pay the cost of running the forum. As I say I'm assuming only.
  14. Very nice Gallardo! Very appropriate colour.
  15. We are. That's Marvin the Martian from the cartoons. Martian? Car- toons? Martian? Car? Applicable n'est pas?
  16. Great job, Nick! They are both very well done.
  17. Fantastic vintage Aston. It also looks really good with it's contemporaries. Great job, Matt!
  18. Daryl, usually we don't get much of aftermarket at shows here in Canada as it's too much of a hassle for dealers or aftermarket guys to get their stuff across the border. Sometimes you will find stuff that guys bought but decided they don't want anymore. Don't know if Randy will have any Perry's stuff there if he is vending. Plaskit the truck aftermarket fellow is often there. Hope this helps. Now if we were talking military stuff then I've been to I.P.M.S. type shows where there are Canadian dealers that bring a ton of aftermarket stuff in but military & plane guys are a whole different ball o' wax so to speak.
  19. Kevin, I'm sure your models are worthy. You have to go with the view that this is a day to spend with like minded people (model car builders), find some bargains or maybe grails, pick up hints and ideas from other builders, see some amazing modeling and if you bring home hardware great but if not it was a good day anyway because of all the other stuff. Normally I would attend but will be in Montreal that weekend at the I.P.M.S. meet being held there.
  20. Very nicely done. Do like the substitute wheels.
  21. It's difficult for me to narrow it down to just one year. Any 63-67 Corvette is great. Same with tri-five Chevies and any early generation Riv. But did GM design only start in the 60's as this person seems to think? How about a 35 Chev coupe? or a 49 Cadillac Sedanet or a 33 Cadillac Aerodynamic Coupe? 53 Eldorado or Riv?
  22. Very cool paint job and nice detailing! Job well done, sir.
  23. Canada here! Penetanguishene, Ontario on the south shore of Georgian Bay. Bilingual community (English and French).
  24. Great build of this Mustang kit! Cool subject matter and a really clean build.
  25. Excellent build! Great colour combo and great details. Like it a lot.
