  1. Oh, don't be so sure about that. How many times have we had to upgrade computers because Microsoft (Or whoever) no longer supports Windows 95 or XP or whatever? It would be easy for Revell to say our 62 Plymouth is no longer available for 3D printer HP123456. Or we (Revell, Round 2 or?) have upgraded 53 GMC pickup kit. The older version is no longer available. You can bet that they will planned obsolesence built in so you will have to keep buying and upgrading otherwise their business fails.
  2. Was lucky enough to go to Udisco and Hobby Junction last fall. Two places well worth the visit. Just don't be in a hurry when you go.
  3. Great Ranchero! Love the colour combo as well.

    Monkee

Yeah, that does look kinda open in there. HHmmm anyone for a pro touring Monkeemobile? Great work on it, Brian.
  5. Great save! Sure makes for a neat little hot rod.
  6. Very well done. Great bit of building there. Love the colour and the shine!
  7. I dunno....Just the way the top looks to me it says real.
  8. Great seeing one of these kits built up. Cool looking car and a nice clean build.
  9. There is also the matter of location. It's cheaper for me to drive 100 miles to a not so local lhs and purchase there than it is to buy online and have it shipped to Canada. If I see a kit at $15 from a U.S. seller and the same kit at a lhs for $22 it seems like the U.S. one is the better deal. But when it cost $25 to ship the $15 kit here it's not such a great deal. And forget about getting paint or glue or resin (for casting) across the border. Now I know someone is going to say yeah but it cost you gas to get 100 miles away. True but I'm stocking up on other supplies and enjoying a club meeting the same day. I used to do more e-baying and other online buying but it's just become too expensive to do so for regular production kits when I'm going to be in the vicinity of a hobby shop anyway.
  10. I believe that was Plastic Performance Products. They do wheels & tires, roll cages, decals and more. They can be found here: http://earlyyearsresin.webs.com/plasticperformance.htm
  11. I build model cars, you know model kits about yeah long..... Oh wait, that's what I'm normally telling other people about my hobbies. Well, besides reading and surfing the net I mess around with a 1:1 Model A. My wife has a collection of working spinning wheels and regualry can be found sitting in the sunroom making yarn. She has also done some great rug hooking including one of our Model A .
  12. I have to chime in and say how beautiful this Olds is. There were a few really well done versions of this kit at the show but this model certainly deserved the award. It is awesome.

Extremely clean build as always Marcos. Beautiful model.
  14. I'll be hitting the road at 4:30 a.m. Look forward to seeing everyone there.
  15. Very cool, Dave! Sweet little Cobra. I look forward to seeing it at NNL East.
  16. Sweet little Stude! Yeah, it would be great if someone did one in 1/25th.
  17. Mitchell, that's one sweet little 356! Well done example of a kit we don't see too often here. Congrats!
  18. Indeed, Bill, I have to add another hundered miles. 970 Kms or 603 miles and over 9.5 hours on the road. But I love it! Look forward to seeing all the great modelers there. Would love to go to Great Salt Lake show some day.
  19. Great work, Rod! Nice clean old Ford.
  20. And here I was thinking: That explains a lot.....
  21. James, that bad boy looks pretty old and tired. Job well done.
  22. The T-Bird/49-50 Ford is still available from a company called Easy Rods. You can find their ad in Street Rodder.
  23. Great build. Love your weathering. Very realistic.
  24. Very cool in black. Neat seeing this kit in a basic colour like black.
  25. Whelp I knew it was a Renault Caravelle. I just didn't get the 68. To make matters worse because I was thinking yesterday was Friday so I didn't think there was time to find out what year it was. Sheesh!
