  1. Very cool build, Chris! Looks great in the Root Beer with the custom parts.
  2. Absolutely incredible to think of 500 homes destroyed in a forest fire. Prayers go out to all involved.
  3. I echo what the others have said. Great way to promote the hobby and great dios as well. Just curious; any problems with people thinking they're diecasts and grabbing them to check them out closer? That's always a problem we've had when doing public shows.
  4. Chris, with the current shipping costs I find it cheaper to drive from here to Toronto to purchase there than to go e-Bay route Shipping has pretty much killed any e-Baying I do unless it's a rare kit or one oop I really want.
  5. You know I immediately knew that was an International. Or at least I thought I did but that seemed just too obvious so it must be something else. Thought myself right out of this one.
  6. Just received an e-mail from Round2 indicating that Lindberg models are now available. Looking at the packaging in the examples in the e-mail, I'm guessing they are clearing out what inventory Lindberg had before doing their own runs. Just my opinion.
  7. Yep! It was announced a couple of months ago. Round2 had some Lindberg stuff on display at NNL East as well as the usual AMT, MPC and Polar Lights stuff.
  8. Welcome to the forum, Bruce from another Ontarioan!
  9. Welcome to the group, Donald!
  10. Sweet Focus! Great build, Chuck! Don't see to many of these built up.
  11. Great build, Bob! Love the colour and the wheels are sweet. I assume the grill is your work as well?
  12. Oh, don't be so sure about that. How many times have we had to upgrade computers because Microsoft (Or whoever) no longer supports Windows 95 or XP or whatever? It would be easy for Revell to say our 62 Plymouth is no longer available for 3D printer HP123456. Or we (Revell, Round 2 or?) have upgraded 53 GMC pickup kit. The older version is no longer available. You can bet that they will planned obsolesence built in so you will have to keep buying and upgrading otherwise their business fails.
  13. Was lucky enough to go to Udisco and Hobby Junction last fall. Two places well worth the visit. Just don't be in a hurry when you go.
  14. Great Ranchero! Love the colour combo as well.

    Monkee

Yeah, that does look kinda open in there. HHmmm anyone for a pro touring Monkeemobile? Great work on it, Brian.
  16. Great save! Sure makes for a neat little hot rod.
  17. Very well done. Great bit of building there. Love the colour and the shine!
  18. I dunno....Just the way the top looks to me it says real.
  19. Great seeing one of these kits built up. Cool looking car and a nice clean build.
  20. There is also the matter of location. It's cheaper for me to drive 100 miles to a not so local lhs and purchase there than it is to buy online and have it shipped to Canada. If I see a kit at $15 from a U.S. seller and the same kit at a lhs for $22 it seems like the U.S. one is the better deal. But when it cost $25 to ship the $15 kit here it's not such a great deal. And forget about getting paint or glue or resin (for casting) across the border. Now I know someone is going to say yeah but it cost you gas to get 100 miles away. True but I'm stocking up on other supplies and enjoying a club meeting the same day. I used to do more e-baying and other online buying but it's just become too expensive to do so for regular production kits when I'm going to be in the vicinity of a hobby shop anyway.
  21. I believe that was Plastic Performance Products. They do wheels & tires, roll cages, decals and more. They can be found here: http://earlyyearsresin.webs.com/plasticperformance.htm
  22. I build model cars, you know model kits about yeah long..... Oh wait, that's what I'm normally telling other people about my hobbies. Well, besides reading and surfing the net I mess around with a 1:1 Model A. My wife has a collection of working spinning wheels and regualry can be found sitting in the sunroom making yarn. She has also done some great rug hooking including one of our Model A .
  23. I have to chime in and say how beautiful this Olds is. There were a few really well done versions of this kit at the show but this model certainly deserved the award. It is awesome.
