  1. I would like to have a nice little row boat on a stream right now, on a hot day like this....but I'm guessing that's not the kind of stream you're talking about.
  2. Hi Edward! Welcome to the forum. Lots of good model building info to be had here. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Looks like you're doing some good building with the performance cars.
  3. Luckily for me a Model A is much easier to start (it has a starter) but you still have to know what you're doing.
  4. And yet the plane and tank guys hate rubber and vinyl tires as they don't have the proper "weight on the tire" bulges and it's harder to make a flat tire. They would rather mask a wheel and tire unit for painting than have seperate tires made of rubber or vinyl. I like our system better where you paint the wheel (if not chrome) and install a proper tire after.
  5. The rebirth of the hobby by the introduction of Scale Auto Enthusiast Magazine back in 1979(?) bringing many lapsed car modellers back into the hobby. Other great magazines have followed including Plastic Fanatic which eventually became Model Cars under Gregg's leadership.
  6. I picked up the Fireball Roberts 57 Ford yesterday as well as Fine Scale Modeller, Tamiya Model Magazine and AK Interactive magazine on Mud.
  7. Very nice clean mild custom. Beautiful!
  8. Indeed! From the beautiful sleek lines of the C6 to a thing that was obviously designed by committee with each member of said committee adding a line or scoop or what have you to the poor thing. and a number 11 to my list: Every Cadillac in the past 10 years or so. As ugly as the box they came in.
  9. 2014 Corvette GMC Terrain Pontiac Aztek Nissan Puke...err...Juke 96-99 Ford Taurus 58-60 Lincolns 58 Packard Catfish...err...Hawk Pontiac and Chevy Dustbusters...err... Transport and Venture Vans 1946 King Midget 1960 Plymouth Valiant
  10. Cool concept! Happened to a lot of large cars back in the day. Well done.
  11. Depends where you live. Here in Canada you get dinged everytime you use debit or ATM's. We still use cash or credit (which gets paid each month). My wife works for an accountant and can't get over the statements she sees where people are paying over $200 a month for using debit card and the fees involved even when they special bank plans.
  12. Very cool, Ira! Another great concept and flawless execution. Excellent result.
  13. Hi Otto! Welcome to the forum. Looks like you have some interesting projects. Be sure to share pics when you have a chance.
  14. Very cool! Will be on the must have list.
  15. Very cool build, Chris! Looks great in the Root Beer with the custom parts.
  16. Absolutely incredible to think of 500 homes destroyed in a forest fire. Prayers go out to all involved.
  17. I echo what the others have said. Great way to promote the hobby and great dios as well. Just curious; any problems with people thinking they're diecasts and grabbing them to check them out closer? That's always a problem we've had when doing public shows.
  18. Chris, with the current shipping costs I find it cheaper to drive from here to Toronto to purchase there than to go e-Bay route Shipping has pretty much killed any e-Baying I do unless it's a rare kit or one oop I really want.
  19. You know I immediately knew that was an International. Or at least I thought I did but that seemed just too obvious so it must be something else. Thought myself right out of this one.
  20. Just received an e-mail from Round2 indicating that Lindberg models are now available. Looking at the packaging in the examples in the e-mail, I'm guessing they are clearing out what inventory Lindberg had before doing their own runs. Just my opinion.
  21. Yep! It was announced a couple of months ago. Round2 had some Lindberg stuff on display at NNL East as well as the usual AMT, MPC and Polar Lights stuff.
  22. Welcome to the forum, Bruce from another Ontarioan!
  23. Welcome to the group, Donald!
  24. Sweet Focus! Great build, Chuck! Don't see to many of these built up.
  25. Great build, Bob! Love the colour and the wheels are sweet. I assume the grill is your work as well?
