  1. The island of Dr Moreau? Now that explains a lot......
  2. Sorry but the drive is a little too long for me. Have heard it's a great show though. Look forward to seeing some pics later.
  3. Great to see you back Ismael. I always looked forward to your builds. Hadn't realized it's been 3 years since we've last viewed your posts. I'm sure you will regain your abilities quickly. Build on!
  4. Welcome John. A 32 deuce and a Ligier eh? Obviously you cover all ends of the automotive spectrum. Look forward to seeing your builds.
  5. Saw this trike in person at a contest this past weekend. Great work especially with the different metallic sheens. It is one sharp trike!
  6. Wow! What a great concept! That's a great piece of model building. Thanks for sharing Bi-Polar with us.
  7. Good work Nick! Was happy to see you picking up hardware at the Ajax show. Much improvement in the past year.
  8. The Eliminator from the ZZ Top vids......
  9. I also attempted this project a number of years ago. Here's a photo of the model that was signed by the cast members at a taping in Toronto. Funny story. When I built the Possum Van I did not realize until too late that the real Possum van was a maxivan (extended). So my model was wrong as the van appeared in the series. About a year after I built it the original Possum Van was destroyed (I think it wore out from being beat up so much). The replacements included a regular wheelbase van so then my model became correct.
  10. Wow! Nice job on that ambulance.
  11. Nice pair of Subes. Nice clean workmanship. Very nice. I think I am partial to the blue but they're both great.
  12. Ooooh! Very nice Renault. Don't see them often but they build up very nicely. You did a great with this one Aaron. Thanks for sharing.
  13. That's one very cool rally car. Great work on the Fiat!
  14. Really hoping the weather holds to be able to attend this show. Been wanting to go since they started but there has always been something either weather or other commitments.
  15. Oh! When I first saw this I was reminded of the Toyota truck that the crew at Top Gear (U.K.) beat the heck out of and it kept running. Your beater looks very realistic. Job well done.
  16. The thing I love about Shannon's builds are the imagination of so many of them. While she can build a 32 Ford with the best of them it's the flights of fancy that come off looking so plausible that sets her apart. Great work Shannon and thanks for posting these pics Dr. Cranky.
  17. I picked the mag up tonight at the grocery store. Went through it 3 times page by page looking for anything referring to good ole Doc Cranky. I thought they had a review of his book or featured his models or something about Virgil Suarez but nada. So I come back here to read this thread and I see good ole Doc was just saying the issue was really good. Geez I sure get muddled sometimes...
  18. That's a great tribute to your Dad. Beautifully built truck.
  19. That is a great tired out old Hudson! Gotta love it when someone drags something like this out of the barn after many years....What? Model you say? Excellent!
  20. Yep, used sprue cutters. In hindsight razor saw or photo etched cutting blade might have been better.
  21. I was hoping to use the Olds grill but broke the grill suround trying to get it off the sprue. Not sure what I'm going to do but for now this is a heads up to those ham handed like me.
  22. Chuck, To the best of my knowledge he doesn't sell any resin through the shop. At least the last time I was there that was the case but it's been a few months since my last visit.
  23. HHmmm.... Let's see: Open the box and enjoy fresh styrene smell. Sand tire tread Try to remove mold seams from body. Obliterate body shapes while trying to remove blasted mold seams. Add more scratches to body while still trying to remove blinkin' mold seams. Get extremely frustrated. Throw body back in box with nicely sanded tires and put the whole thing back on shelf. Repeat with next fresh model....
  24. BAZINGA! That's a fantastic thing of beauty! That is one of the sweetest rods ever and the colour combo is the bomb as well too! Job well done, sir.
  25. Our wacky metric calendar? You silly people have your Thanksgiving a mere month before Christmas. You just get one over with and you turn around and there's the next stressful family holiday. We like to spread ours out a little.
