  1. I think it's one of Harry's Pocher kits!
  2. What - No Decaprio and Winslet standing on the railing at the bow? Great build Chris!
  3. Ooooohhhh! Babararacucudada! I'll be checkin' this one out at NNL East (I hope?)
  4. That's a great build Mitch. I always love seeing a Ron Fellows car built that cleanly.
  5. Gee Harry, I woulda thought you woulda kept that one for Real or Model!
  6. I vote real.......oh wait wrong contest....
  7. Woohoo! Got #154 today! Looks like a very good issue. Now anxiously waiting for #155. Should see it some time in early March.
  8. Wow! And here I was looking forward to posting in the #154 thread that I had received that one and you guys are starting to get #155 already?
  9. Rob, My reaction when Chrysler started showing previews of the 300C was: "My God Chrysler is releasing a new car based on the movie vehicle The Car.How do they expect to sell cars based on a horror movie?" I've mellowed towards the 300 but I still think they used The Car as a prototype.
  10. e-zine? Well it wouldn't be free as Harry said the magazine pays for the forum. So we would have to still pay for it and wait for it to be updated. And then we would have to pay to print it too? e-zines are the lamest things. Just fancy web sites. Get rid of the silly flipping pages and make a good web site that people pay for. But be that as it may my money will still go to the publisher who delivers a paper mag to my postal box not one that expects me to absorb the printing costs. There are enough free forums out there that getting people to pay for magazine websites?...well not me anyway....
  11. Good information guys! I'm also looking at doing a diorama that will need snow. I appreciate the info being shared here.
  12. I dunno....those would be solid rubber tires. How much compression would there be? I think Harry is pulling a fast one so I'm going model.
  13. All American used to do some of those. About the only way to get them now is to luck into them on an auction site or at a contest or NNL.
  14. 1940 Ford Woody from Revell 40 Ford tooling 31 Ford slant windshield fordor town sedan based on Revell 31 Model A tooling. Of course I'm probably the only one who wants this so I could easily replicate my own car. I agree with Chuck for wanting a closed cab 30/31 A pick up based on the revell sedan/woody A stock 40 Ford pick'up & a proper stock 38 Ford pick-up with correct cab 29/29 tudor and coupe from the AMT/MPC wagon/p'up kit. Any new station wagon kits. That's it for now...
  15. Brendan, That's a great build of that kit. It's neat to finally see one of these built up. Definitely on my must get list. Hope to do a Bruno Spengler build if aftermarket decals become available.
  16. Matthew, while I understand your frustration with repeated beginner articles in Scale Auto (and Fine Scale Modeler is the same way) if you read the questions both in the magazine and on forums so many them are new people that are entering (or reentering) the hobby wanting to know basics. If they pick up a mag at a hobby shop and all the articles are complete builds of contest quality models they would quickly be discouraged. I know I often open scale auto or fine scale and go "not another air brush basics or not another adhesive basics"! But in the end they wouldn't be running these articles if there wasn't a demand from the consumer. And in the different strokes for different folks, I love the diorama columns. I find it most frustrating that so much contest coverage totally ignores dioramas but that's a whole other topic....
  17. Jim, I'm glad you put real in quotation marks when referring to WWE Smackdown. I'd watch BJ for hours before ever tuning that in. To each his own...
  18. Kevin, every club is a bit different but generally guys bring their most recents builds or projects for the club to see, some bring stuff to work on during the meeting. Usually there is some buying/selling/swapping going on. Some clubs have demos i.e. baremetal foil etc. Depending how organized the club is or if they're doing a show there might be a business portion of the meeting. Some clubs have monthly themes so that you build a model for that theme or cars you've aready built that matches the theme. Just some of the stuff that goes on.
  19. And if I might add...t'is a beautiful piece of work too!
  20. Chris, that is one sweet TOS Enterprise! Beautiful finish. I have one of those I've been considering getting started. Any issues I should be aware of?
  21. Very nice Ferarri! Love the sports racers from the 60's. Great work.
  22. Sweet! That's one nice clean A Bone. Looks period perfect.
  23. Accu-Pro has been out of business for quite awhile. Your best hope would be an auction site unless someone knows of a caster doing something similar to this body.
  24. For me, I'd be looking for items from 20's to the 40's-50's. Model T, Model A era into early hot rod era.
  25. Sweet Enterprise E! Captain Picard and crew would be proud.
