As said you can't blame it all on corperate greed. Companies A and b both make sprockets, Company B starts doing their manufacturing overseas. All the consumers want is cheap and company starts losing market share to comoany B. To survive Company start manfacturing overseas also. Now you have two issues to deal with you have to have somebody willing to invest in rebuilding those factories here. However the bigger issue is the consumer using the price as the only factor in there purchase rather than price and quality.

Problem is when the trend to go overseas for stuff most people didn't want to buy American. Becuase they could say a few dollars. The manufacturing went away.vwe are now paying the orice for that stupidity.

Conductive paint for repairing pc boards has been around for a while. I've always thought you could spray it on plastic and then be able to do electroplating.

You can always find a way to offend someone without intending to, bottom line if you want to improve then tell others that is what you wantIbthink the best policy is ro treat this forum as youvwould attending an NNL. Another issue is you look at a model that has issues however the last five who looked said great model. Do risk being called a troll for pointing out the issues or do you add another attaboy. This is a difficult issue and there are no easy answers.

TYere have been many threads on this subject in the past. If you want an honest critic of your work then you need to let them know you want it. There are some very thin skinned individuals who take any criticism as a personal attack they only want to hear how wonderful they are. Whether their paint makes an orange look smooth or things are grossly out of scale.
