I think the issue wasn't licisensing but how poorly the kit sold. As was commented it is a difficult kit to not look toy like. At one point Scale Motorsports was going to do a full detail set for the kit but then scrapped the idea becjase of how poorly the kit was done. I've always liked the gt40 and would have loved to get the kit but was disappointed by the poor rdviews.

What type of solder are you using? If its tin based you might want to use silver solder it might work better.

Yup there needs to be a second isolated system. Makes as much sense as putting a power plant on the internet. No system is prtfect and there are always ways to circumvent the security.

The amazing thing is the fact that this is all in scale. There are some who do metal here but they don't always manage to get it the right size. Without anything to give it away it really looks right.

The sticker is not the only item out of place. The headers are not period and it looks like the steering is a bit more modern. I think he was going for the look without being overly conerned with being period completely. You really have to be looking for the sticker. The headers are much more obviuos.

Nice. Great choice on colors. One thing that can help with bmf if to scribe an edge along the edges of the chrome which makes clean edges. Downside is its a lot of work and you have to be cardful not to make a mess of the chrome.

Yeah the resin is thick but it still can be brittle. When they do serious cutting on still bodies it needs to be reinforced otherwise there are issues. Looking forward to more.
