  1. Nice job. bobthehobbyguy
  2. Very cool. What did you use for doing the rivets? bobthehobbyguy
  3. Looking good. Great scratch building. Love the subject. By the way its not trolls under your desk. I've convinced it a worm hole to another dimension. How else can I explain dropping a white part on a dark surface and not finding it. Another modeler in that dimension is using those parts. bobthehobbyguy
  4. Chris, Really looking good. All of the time you spent to make this right shows. bobthehobbyguy
  5. Ira, Outstanding. You hit this one out of the park. bobthehobbyguy
  6. Very nice. bobthehobbyguy
  7. Saw dreammachines listed and got to watch an episode. The promos sounded good the car being built was cool.. However same old tired formula. Crazy build time frame, drama(two brothers fighting all the time time wasted on silly .pranks), I wish for once they could do a show without this junk. The car they build was cool but there was too little time spent on the build and two much drama. and silliness Bottom line don't waste your time. bobthehobbyguy
  8. Kennb, Have you gotten this one painted? bobthehobbyguy
  9. I don't think there is even 30 minutes of building. reason to tape it and fast forward through the drivel.t It just to bad that the discovery has used American Chopper as the template for this show. Just wish there was more car stuff. Like gears but don't get the speed channel and won't spend more to get it. junk being produced I will say I am getting very close to pulling the plug on tv. Too many auction shows, reality crime shows and such. Find it hard to believe anybody this stuff. Don't care if they do but don't fill up the channels with garbage. bobthehobbyguy
  10. Several have commented turn it off and build. Well I am building while watching TV. Certainly wouldn't just watch this without doing something else. bobthehobbyguy
  11. Decided to watch Jesse James new show Outlaw garage . Love the DVR so I can fast forward through the reality show bull. No I don't care what Jesse had for lunch and why( at least thats what it seems on these shows) I want to see the car or bike being. I can see how the show will be scripted with the constant drama of the week(sigh) of who going to be fired or what doesn't meet his standards. Despite all of this the 32 ford built for the show was cool. Hopefully the show will have some more interesting cars. What does everybody else think about the show? bobthehobbyguy
  12. Chris, The mockup looks great. Looking forward to more progress. bobthehobbyguy
  13. Just found this thread. Great job as always. I always learn from your builds. Thanks for sharing. bobthehobbyguy
  14. Ira, Have you stalled out on this? This is a really cool build. bobthehobbyguy
  15. Ira, Really cool. Can't wait to see this finished. bobthehobbyguy
  16. Nice job. Always have had a soft spot for earlyfiat drag cars. bobthehobbyguy
  17. Very nice job. This is a beauty. Thanks for the info on the tutorial and the tutorial also. Am glued to my chair watching this. bobthehobbyguy
  18. Mikemc, This is also very nice. Is this in the under glass section? bobthehobbyguy
  19. First what type of car are you planning to build. Second are you copying the picture or is it an example? If it is see if you can find some more views on line. There are several companies like Heidt that make independent suspensions. Getting started figuring out the rear end My suggestion would be to select what you are going to use for the center section. Also figure out what rims and tires you are going to use. Also how wide is the body you are using. The more things that you can figure out what you are going to use the better, then you can figure out the fimensions for the axles and other suspension pieces. Also are you planning to do this in plastic or metal? Are you planning to scratch build this completely or use or modify kit pieces? The last thing would suggest is when you can start mocking up the parts you white glue( I use Alinees tack glue) to check that everything is correct.then you can take it apart assemble the subassemblies and then paint and do the final assembly. Hope this helps. bobthehobbyguy
  20. Clay, Looking really good. How do you fishmouth the tubes for the chassis? bobthehobbyguy
  21. Ira, Another great model. Like the way you did the decals. How did you blend the flames? You did a great job. Bobthehobbyguy
