  1. They seem to have no interest in new products or meaningful updates of existing tools. It's a shame....
  2. looks good, but please don't try to drive it with that steering "disconnected" you have the steering box in the wrong place..too high and too far forward. there are two steering box/columns in the kit, I think you mixed them up?
  3. the exhaust tips were on chrome tree with the front axle/suspention.. what happened to your steering box/column? it mounts about a 1/4 inch behind the motor mount, did you get out of sequence during assembly? the steering box fits under the headers and connects to the pitman arm/drag link. There are two different steering box/columns in the kit,one for the channeled version one for the other, perhaps you mixed them up? Otherwise nice job!
  4. Looking forward to updates....
  5. They all look great..especially the newest one!
  6. I don't live anywhere near a desert....usually we have very wet winters so we have plenty of trees and plants and long very hot summers(May thru October) that feel like the desert.
  7. Me too..MUCH more!
  8. Now THAT would make a great kit! How 'bout this one Revell? Just like it is,it needs nothing!
  9. ....at Bonneville with short non-dusting pipes.
  10. Interesting and logical too. so Bill's headers would be "Flats Pipes" or "salty pipes"?
  11. I thought we were discussing not arguing. I only remember things don't really matter anymore it seems...
  12. I always heard "lakes pipes" called headers....I usually heard "lake pipes" called fake.
  13. Yep lake pipes. tho' more recently I think I've heard the header style in the 29 kit called lake pipes too?
  14. Non-top loader shifters take up a lot of space in area where's there's none to spare. I vote for a 39 box (with Zephyer gears of course)>> torque tube>>banjo rear.>>transverse spring.
  15. Yep 1957. There was probably a truck 4spd. that would adapt even easier...surely someone (who didn't quite get it) tried
  16. I think you're right about what they *meant*.
  17. By 63 (in SoCal at least, they were few n far between) remember new cars were "cool" by then. I remember having that reaction to the song back in the day. But I do agree with you 'bout the black 3 window. Anybody remember the fuss that first blue duece caused when it was first in Hot Rod magizine? It had a swastika on the blower pulley, lots of people were offended even back then..
  18. Funny song! Way out of date when it was written...they were "car guys" ?
  19. The front spring must have settled overnight . .(oops missed your caption). looks pretty good now, nice rubber rake, era correct.
  20. very nice!
  21. The axle from the 32 kit (with a much thinned spring) sits much lower but then you lose the I beam feature. I'll probably remove the spring and make a new thin n flater one. You used the front Xmember from the 32 but it didn't seem make any difference?
  22. A 3 n ! kit! I still prefer the 32 frame and didn't really want to build a channeled car with my 2nd kit. The front end still seems a smidge high to me?
