  1. Really like the shots in the sun. Terrific contrast, crisp shadows. Your choice of colors is very interesting. The use of clear coat makes the color appear deep, like those Steve Boutte finishes.
  2. Recently picked up a couple of these at the LHS. Thanks for the terrific inspiration.
  3. Now that's a hot rod!
  4. Thanks for sharing your progress in a terrific hobby. Believe me, everyone of us started building exactly the same way!
  5. Thanks for sharing. Really like the 29 Ford kit, too. Always a great source of inspiration.
  6. Your truck appears to be very aggressive when viewed from the front. Is that the stock stance for the kit chassis.
  7. Did you press cellophane into wet paint for the texture? Looks terrific-really like the deep rust color.
  8. Really like the use of white walls and stock rims with trim rings, but why are they so clean? Please keep inspiring all of us.
  9. The LHS has the centennial issue that contains the six banger with optional speed goodies. They recently marked-up the AMT kits to $19.99. If the box is damaged you can get it for $14.99.
  10. Really enjoy your build of a classic. Color combo contrasts nicely.
  11. Really like this kit, too. Opening the flat box was a lot of fun!
  12. Tried the createx wicked colors with a neo iwata top feed at about 15psi. The paint has the consistency of 2% milk and the colors remain opaque even being extended slightly (simply precautionary) with ammonia window cleaner. Most colors dried with a semigloss-like sheen. Multiple coats and extended drying required for most colors. Handle all work by the edges while wearing cotton gloves. Forget taping and painting with this material until you find a way to get this inexpensive and readily available craft paint to adhere to styrene. Hope this helps.
  13. 29 Ford from amt offers great choices of engines, frames and bodies (the LHS sells these on clearance for $14.99) 32 Ford series from revell have been fun to work with, have doubled-up boxes of the coupe to save shelf space. 37 Ford coupe and sedans also by revell have great suspension and frame detail- good platform for other projects, and, there's a group of 40 amt and 41 willys kits here on the shelf. All those kits and so little _______.
  14. Totally worth waiting for! Very nice choice of color. Did you change the stance?
  15. Thanks for sharing the purple and detailing!
  16. Very nice! What did you use to tone down the shine on the rims?
  17. Nick, that's going to be helpful. I'm wondering if they are interested in sharing their experiences about developing the group and membership. Generally speaking, are there Rules of Order for club meetings?
  18. Looking for club and/or modelers in NW area of Chicago.
  19. Terrific subject matter!
  20. this is a great build thanks four sharing
  21. it's great to see the work that goes into some of these builds can't get over the amount of filler and fit issues
  22. Thanks for showing another method of building hinges. The simplicity is refreshing.
  23. I'm watching your build with great interest, as it is a new approach to a remarkable kit by a modeler unafraid to try something new.
  24. check out their #170 ww tires
