  1. I totally agree. But others don't. I see others commenting in the negative when someone brings up an old topic for the umpteenth time. Maybe their negativity is because they think their word is the final say. Well sorry to break their hearts, but that's what this forum is all about . For people to talk about topics whether or not they have been duplicated already. That's how we get more up to date info. If we didn't have that there would be no purpose for this message board.
  2. I know that the 72 chevy truck racers wedge; the truck kit and wedge in the box is coming out. But, the other version of the 72 Chevy pickup coming out; will that be the Coke a Cola version? What will be in the kit?
  3. I would say, hurry up and sell it before the reissue comes out. Put it on ebay with a reserve of at least $150 and see where it goes.
  4. Here's an interesting angle on this. Round 2 sees now that their target market are the older builders. What have the older builders been requesting? A lot want to see those subjects that were released back in the day again. Just a guess; I think Round 2 is trying to do one final run of everything. Kits now are coming out faster than they used to 10 or 15 years ago. Just a hunch.
  5. In reference to the last paragraph; this is apparently the direction Round 2 is going in order to get those oldies out again. I take my hat to them for retooling and recreating subjects we haven't seen in over 50 years. To all the naysayers that stated over the years that model kit companies were not going to invest money to re do tooling of 50 year old kits; I guess they were wrong. I say to Round 2; please keep them coming. You can count on our support.
  6. I used to use the decals. It was tedious. Stopped using the decals and just bought tires that have the whitewalls. Modelhaus is still in business, but they only sell tires. They have a very nice selection of whitewall tires.
  7. In all likelyhood, this probably will come out in the future. Round 2 already has the AWB Nova, the trailer and soon to be released 63 Chevy II wagon is on the way.
  8. Look at the Hudson they did. I never bought it because it never appealed to me. However, that kit turned out be a good seller. Who would have known.
  9. Just have to wonder what other prototypes Moebius has done that we have not seen yet. Just imagine walking in the door to the product developement dept. and seeing what's there.
  10. Saw this picture ; and for a second it looked like a Moebius kit box with a picture of a 56 Mercury. I thought this kit was going to be a new release from Moebius.
  11. When was the last time this kit was out?
  12. What 3 kits were chosen?
  13. I agree. I think a lot of more surprises are on the way. Round 2 is even fixing and modified old tooling. Lot of people have stated that this tooling and that tooling are gone forever. Looks like in some instances they have been wrong.
  14. Anyone know when the 63 Chevy ll wagon is coming out?
  15. Right on. Finally, Round 2 is starting to get kits out that have not been seen in over 50 years. People are still complaining. I bet if you gave each complainer a million dollars they still would complain.
  16. I thought the original one was a full build kit. Am I correct? At least Round 2 is trying to get these oldies out . Hopefully more to come.
  17. First of all ; if I was in Riggles shoes and I identified safety issues, then he had a choice to tell the crew no until we safety the area or find another location. This is sometimes a problem within the production industry. Always in a hurry to get something in the can by deadline. The occupants in the Hemi Under Glass were lucky they walked away. Could have been far worse.
  18. Yes. On the real car, that part of the door area under the door handle has the sunken area. I own a real 1968 Coronet 440. That is the correct shape of the door. This is on all 68-70 Coronet doors. Also, these doors are the same as 68-70 Belvedere, Satellite, Roadrunner, GTX. You can swap doors from the Dodge and Plymouth 68-70 B-body cars.
  19. That's the way I am building mine. Doing this one as a base Camaro. Will use the 350 that's in the kit, 4 speed trans; both which were available on the base Camaro. Also will use the spoiler too. Not sure if you could get a rear spoiler on a 1970 base Camaro. Maybe use white wall or black wall tires. Will use the wheels that have the square holes and stock air cleaner from the AMT 72 Nova kit.
  20. Within the last 10 years Round 2 released the Funny Farmer 63 Tempest AWB car. How was this released? Is it an all new kit or was the original AMT 63 Tempest tooling modified to do the current AWB car?
  21. Where did you buy the wall cases?
  22. I agree. I hope they do this kit in 1/25 scale. Most of the kits that Revell has done in the last 10 or so years has been 1/25 scale. It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall at Revell to see what other American car subjects they have in developement. The good thing is we are being heard and from the looks of it they are marketing towards the adult builder.
  23. The very last sentence says it all. Very true. You hit the nail on the head. Wanted to add ; those that bash a kit company for a certain part of a kit not being accurate, I say to those people, don't buy the kit. Not everything is perfect in this world. Things are not 100% . Sometimes we have to let things go. It's just a hobby and that's all it well ever be.
  24. I have an AMT 63 Tempest builtup as well. I'm looking for the same parts as you; the right headlight bezel and stock tail light panel.
